In reply to: Intermittent problem: site loads then disappears save a smileyUm… but why is it happening when I disable Jetpack? Also, when I had Jetpack on, I had the smiley disabled too.

In reply to: Intermittent problem: site loads then disappears save a smileyGiven the amount of experimenting I’ve been doing trying to figure this out (and trying to speed up my site, which likes to slow down for no known reason) it’s almost hard to keep track…
I did have EVERYTHING turned off everything for awhile then everything save Jetpack, Quick Cache, and either Social Media Icons Widget or Social Media Widget (I don’t recall which one, but neither has been active recently).
The “recently active” list includes Jetpack, Quick Cache, Async JS and CSS, Better WodPress Minify, Subtle Background Patterns, and Google XML Sitemaps. WP Paypal Simple Donation Widget is also there, but was only active for about 2 minutes and didn’t seem to cause any issues.
When the problem started up again, I had been running only Jetpack, Quick Cache, and Subtle Background Patterns.

In reply to: Intermittent problem: site loads then disappears save a smileyYes, it happens when all plugins are disabled – they currently are. I haven’t edited any core files (I am NOT that good with code, a child theme is pushing it). Yes, it has happened with different themes.
Source code for FindStuff2Read.com from IE9 after the page disappears and the smiley appears: [Moderator note: That code has been redacted. Please note that you don’t need to post the source code if you’re linking the webpage in question]
So, I don’t know if this will help anyone figure out the problem, but I wasn’t using WPTouch and I was having the same problem… and not just on mobile sites. Deactivating EVERY plugin helped – for awhile. I eventually got it up to Jetpack and one other plugin, but then the problem started up again. I deactivated everything, and it went away… save for IE (version 9 is what I had to test with).
As far as I can tell, the problem just comes and goes as it pleases.
BTW, the kicker is that I have a mock site I was doing some testing on – source code is identical according to https://validator.w3.org – and THAT works w/o any problem. I think it might be a WordPress problem. The mockup site isn’t running 3.8 yet, but another one (also working) is. The other one is lounge.findstuff2read.com
I’m going to hunt around the forums to see if somebody else had a more similar situation to mine, but if anyone here can help, I’d appreciate it!
My site is https://www.FindStuff2Read.com. My mock-up site is https://www.FindStuff2Read.com/3.

In reply to: Post Title Font size change for ePublishing themeSomething exploded. Even after uninstalling & redownloading ePublishing, it was still exploded (main theme, not child theme). I switched themes and am marking this as resolved.
