Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Automatic Post Tagger] Bulk Tagging Tool Multiplied PostsI have discovered the problem….it was with the Postie plugin. It was not deleting emails in the email account it posts from so it was posting the over and over. Sorry for wasting anyone’s time reading this!!!
Have you updated to the 3.1 version of the plugin released yesterday? It solved my issues. Odd that it has not even been mentioned in this forum.
Version 3.1.1 (Dec 6th, 2013)
Updated: Everything.
Changed: Everything.
Fixed: Everything.I had the same problem which appeared out of the blue in the last 24 hours. I notice that you have, also apparently in the last 24 hours, released:
Version 3.1.1 (Dec 6th, 2013)
Updated: Everything.
Changed: Everything.
Fixed: Everything.Updating the plug-in fixes the issue.
Thanks Korven! Have been looking for a solution. For me, also using WP 3.4.1, Quick Cache was definitely Caching the feed which was delaying new posts appearing on other websites that rely on the feed. Added “feed” to the “No-Cache URI Patterns”, updated my latest post in its edit panel and BAM! It appeared on the feed. (I have dynamic cache pruning enabled of course.)
OK…I fixed it. And I am disgusted at how simple it was to do. I have been using a Custom Structure for permalinks: /%post_id%/%postname%/
I changed the Permalink setting to Default and noted that the links then all worked.
I changed back to the Custom Structure and the problem came back.
I deleted the /%post_id%/%postname%/ in the blank next to the custom structure, changed back to Default, then re-entered /%post_id%/%postname%/ in the custom structure blank and changed back to Custom Structure.
Voilà! For no good reason that fixed it.
This after doing all the above suggestions over and over, installing my back up database countless times, searching high and low for a solution….
still trying to fix this
Tried them all. No dice.
I had high hopes for this:
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
The problem is once I try to open my dashboard WP requires;
“Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.”
It forces me to click on:
“Update WordPress Database”
Which apparently then installs the 3.4 wp-content folder contents. When I re-uploaded everything BUT that folder from a fresh download of 3.4 the site worked fine. But like I said I can’t get to admin without clicking on the “Update WordPress Database”.
FYI if you look at my site now I have restored my database to 3.3 so it works….until I try to log in and have to update WP database.
