Even though they don’t load, I’ll just keep a copy of my changes with my child theme for now. Once the theme updates, I’ll go that route. Thanks for your help!

I’m guessing something to add to my functions.php file that would load the widget-social-icons.php from my child theme?

But, it doesn’t seem to work in a child theme. Is there something else I need to do to make it load the child theme widget over the regular one?

User error. I had inadvertently turned off “header menu” under “Theme Locations” while trying out the different menus. Everything looked similar, but it had reverted back to the menu with out my custom Navigation Labels (and was out of order too, which is how I finally noticed). When I switched back to the Responsive parent theme, it worked because I had set them up previously. I am an idiot ??

I ended up opening soliloquy.js and changing the number next to “animationSpeed:” — but any updates will break that.
