    That worked. It’s a new tool for me, and I’ll need to do some fine tuning with it. Thank you.

    It turns out that on one of the lines of code where I had changed the hex color number from #FFFFFF to #000000, it was correct. However, it didn’t show up as black until a day or two later. I’m not sure why.

    I’m sorry that I’m not understanding. When I go to my admin page, on the left hand side is the menu column. Are you saying that I should click on “Pages”? If so, once I’m there, what should I click on? I tried clicking on the link you posted, but I got the message:

    This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

    It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.”

    I’m wondering if the #FFFFFF code you’re seeing is the font color for that particular post [Norcal Noisefest]. I’m trying to change the white color of the area behind it (down the whole page) to black, but I don’t see the hex code for it.

    I went to Appearance > Theme File Editor, but I don’t see

    <span style="color: #ffffff;">

    Where did you see it? Do you have a line number I can locate it by?

    I’ve since resolved the issue by activating the parent theme, twentytwelve, and going into the source code to change the color to black. I realize that every time there is an update, I will need to go back in and change the color again, but it’s the only fix I was able to come up with.

    I’ve tried to migrate my locally hosted version of my website from MAMP to my host via Filezilla, but have been unsuccessful. For one thing, it appears that Filezilla won’t allow me to drag the child theme folder over to the host window, and then disconnects. After several attempts, Filezilla sayas that I have made too many log on attempts and locks me out.
