In reply to: [OceanWP] Copyright notice across homepageThank you! Eventually I found it was the footer bottom, deeply buried and found only thru clicking on many many variables. Why the bottom footer would appear in the middle of the page is mystifying but ultimately- problem solved.

In reply to: Huge delay opening homepageThanks for the link- will go test it now, but that second visit was after closing the browser and clearing the cache several times so it should’ve been the same long delay. I doubt it’s network traffic related, though I never can tell, but speed tests this morning were as fast as my connection gets (about 2mb/sec).

In reply to: Huge delay opening homepageI did nothing and now it’s loading in about 3 seconds so what the heck is going on here?

In reply to: Huge delay opening homepageThanks for the suggestions. I’ll do those steps and report back if I find an offending plugin or if it’s the theme itself.

In reply to: Drop-down menu woesJose- the theme is Portfolio+ by Devin Price. It can be found here:

Quick plug- it’s a great theme, very flexible, intuitive and best of all his support is outstanding.
But I didn’t ask him about this- came here first because I thought the menu system was part of the basic WP program. Will ask him now- thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Drop-down menu woesAnybody? The drop-downs are almost impossible to use as is.

In reply to: Can Twenty Fourteen automatically fill screen?lol- thanks for the help I guess.

In reply to: Can Twenty Fourteen automatically fill screen? Thanks for the info about the CSS code. Regarding the other thing- until I find an option that is better losing the right click functionality is a small price to pay. I looked at other plugins and found one that blocked many of the easiest most common ways people steal content but it conflicted (caused WP to crash) with one of the core editing functions of WP so I had to delete it. Have you got a suggestion on how I can do more to prevent people from stealing my work that does not cripple the fucntionality? If not- oh well, I will embrace bad form ??

In reply to: CrashI opened a ticket and the Godaddy tech said they would look at the error logs and I should hear back from them within 24 hours. Crossing my fingers because I’m unable to use WP now. Bug occurs with all themes.

In reply to: CrashThanks- went thru that thread and their issue has some similarity (mainly that we both use Godaddy) but the cause was something different. They had thousands of pages and there appears to be a problem with server timeouts and response time- stuff like that. I just have two little pages, things worked fine and then flashy blinky dead in the water.
