In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] Compatibility with Events Manager pluginHello Tomsto,
First thing first, apologies for the delay in responding. For some reason I overlooked your question
To get it clearly out of the way, this plugin has no sort of interaction with Events manager and I don’t think this would ever happen. I’m not in favor of building a plugin with deeplinks into the backend of another plugin. This creates serious dependencies.
Trying to stick with the core WP functionalities, what about you build a widget for hotels in rome and use a WP template for events in rome. This way you could even further customize the look and feel.Hope this makes sense.

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] CSV bulk upload possible?Hello Jan,
This is a great idea. Appreciate your suggestion ! the only downside I’d think of (besides building the initial file) would be to place each searchbox into the relevant page. There’s still that level of work that’d need to be done.
Maybe a combination of both would actually save people even more time… I’ll have to think it through.
Thanks again

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] Can I use custom fields?Hello Jan,
Yes I’ll certainly add it in a future release but I haven’t put it on my calendar yet. I appreciate you need a short term answer, so for now, you’d be better off taking this as a “NoGo”.
If that’s ok with you I’ll ping you when I beta the functionality. Probably a couple of months away from now.
Alternatively, if several of you want this to happen, I’ve seen a couple of examples where sites owners would unite in a fundraising to get a dev to build them a custom plugin. Maybe if the 5 of you want to put $200/300 each, you’d get a dev working on it right away. My code is open source so it’s yours to fork ! Keep me posted !
Cheers

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] Narrow down destination to districtSure, paste any of the parameters suggested by the url constructor and it’ll pick them up.
I’ll clarify that in the documentation.

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] Narrow down destination to districtHey Rob,
I’m away till next week but yeah, you can do it. Just pass on the parameters in the destination field. Also you probably want to hide it from your visitors. It’s all on the ‘new searchbox’ admin page.

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] No date picker calendarHello Sinaj21,
Two things.
1) Disable this plugin and look at the developper console (F12) while on your homepage. If there are errors showing up related to jquery, it’s probably something you want to get fixed as your theme is not working fine.
2) Enable the plugin and try deactivating the option at the bottom of the form (use CSS from theme). It helps when multiple instances of jQuery are running in parallel.
Cheers

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] add translation fieldHey George,
I think you got confused in between plugins. This plugin loads the approved booking.com translations (and enriched them with kind users suggestions too). The admin panel of this plugin does not allow you to customize the text (i.e. check-in).
If that is something you want to do with my plugin, all it takes is editing the code and tweak the default sentence as you please.
I assume this would also do the trick with the plugin I suspect you are using !Cheers

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] Search only for a specific hotelHello mpbm23,
Yes you can add this search box and restrict the result to a specific hotel. It supports all the parameters detailed on the booking.com affiliate site. Trying adding criteria in the search box and make is non editable by the visitors (i.e. name of the hotel, location, hotel ID, …).
If the purpose is to add a reservation engine to the official site of an hotel, please keep in mind you’ll have to pay the booking.com commission even for customers coming from your own site. It’s up to you.
Maybe enough to get your site started but on the longer term, I’d recommend you look into bypassing booking.com so you don’t pay them a commission for visitors booking from your own hotel site.
Cheers

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] add translation fieldHello Geo782,
The plugin uses the translation provided by booking.com or by the users who suggested it when no translation was available.
Is your language not covered yet or do you want to rephrase it ?
Cheers

In reply to: [Booking.com Affiliate plugin] Where is the settings?Hello Jill,
Could you try pasting this url once you’re logged onto your site ?
>> [YOUR-DOMAIN-NAME.com]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=booking-pluginboxIt should take you the plugin homepage where the searchboxes are listed.
Regards
Greg
