Okay, back to current versions, and visual editor window still blank.

I tried version after version of nextgen till 2.0.66, then went down to WP 4.

I’ll go ahead and update and see what happens. I really had wanted a nextgen slideshow on the front page of this site. I’ve used the plug for years!

I tried both, and neither worked.

I rolled back nextgen to Version 2.0.66

and running WP 4.0

I did have the plugin disable visual editor; but removed it. I didn’t see anything in mysql database; but was wondering if that may have something to do with it…. ?

Yes, sure have! I even tried using an earlier version of Nextgen

I agree, this really is complicated… I would like images to show up above the more tag…

This plugin is a great idea; but on a visual site like mine, very limiting!

Do I add the code you put before… or after?

Just got off the phone with 1and1 support. They said my acct has gzip compression enabled; but to utilize it you have to add a script. @craig, please do forward that code. You can send a note via my sites contact page! Thank you

Any tips on requesting ‘enabling gzip compression’ from 1and1?

I must have not subscribed to this thread…

I tried the above suggestion and got this:

I did check known issues, and it doesn’t look like we have any issues there. My wife noticed that subscribers have remained at 49 for the past 5 months. If we enter an email address (not subscribed) nothing seems to come though.

Since it passed debugging, and additional suggestions?
