Thanks jetshack, this provided a good workaround. It doesn’t search all my filenames or alt/title tags but at least I can add keywords for each page and it will pick it up.

Because I have 100+ photos that have complicated latin orchid names, this isn’t such a great solution because it will be time consuming to add all those keywords, and it doesn’t return individual photo results – only the page it’s on.

But it’s better it was before, so thanks. ??

I posted to the plugin author’s page but haven’t received a reply yet.

I was hoping for a fresh pair of eyes to see this, maybe have some suggestions?

Your header doesn’t reach the end (on the right) so there’s a white space there, though in a single post it looks alright.

On a single post though, your sidebar is below the main content instead of being, well, on the side. Maybe you’re missing a closing tag there?

Also, the titles seem a little too big & bold to me. Hope this helps, good luck with it!

I wouldn’t say the green is too bright, it’s just not as pleasing a green as I’ve seen on other pages. Maybe something a little more muted – perhaps an earthier tone with a tan column instead of white – would give it less of a contrast and be easier on the eyes.

Yes, I agree that it’s very dark. Gives it a somber mood, if that’s what you’re going for.

The transitions are nice, and it’s very simple and clean.

I resolved this myself.

On the “bad” wp-settings.php, line 72 says:

if ( !update_user_cache() && !strstr($_SERVER[‘PHP_SELF’], ‘install.php’) ) {

I went back to the original zip of the WP 2.0.6 that I had on my hard drive, and found the wp-settings.php file. I looked at line 72 and it says:

require_once (ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/wp-db.php’);

So I extracted only that file to the root of my WP installation, overwrote the existing and now my blog is back up.

Doing a full backup now… ??

Yes, I deleted the Captcha plugin files from my webserver but still get the error.

Nevermind, found the answer in another post. I typed out the whole URL in the code and it worked. Now I need to get the text off of the header.

I like it. Easy to read, to identify the different areas. The text in your header isn’t quite center and the “s” on the end is cut off a bit.

I like the colors there, it’s pretty nice to look at. And the script-type font is purty. ??

Some things I noticed: In the photos section, (at least in the first section) the caption above the picture goes off the edge and you lose the beginning of it. Also the “t” in the “Next” link at the top is spilling over the edge too. I think the thumbnails should be higher, to the right of the photos so you don’t have to scroll down to see them. And if you click the “top” link, it brings you to the first photo, not to thumbnails in the album or a general photo section.

I really like what you did with the header, it’s pretty cool looking. Oh and by the way, when I saw “ybmarried” I thought it was “you be married” lol ??

I agree with Jinsan on the bold coloring, I like it. The text on the right side of the top post photo does seem a little jumbled. I’m actually very interested in the content, myself. This one’s in my favorites.

It’s very… smokey looking. Nice mellow layout.

I like a little more of a buffer between the right side of your text and the sidebar, myself. The links are a little hard to see (Artifact collection and sale, Occassional soapbox, etc.) even when hovering. But the comment links look good.
