In reply to: [wp-greet] Installation worked fine but didn't send cardI took me a day to get the set up perfect, but then I finally figured out the trick, so you can imagine my frustration now that I can’t get the cards to send!

In reply to: [wp-greet] Installation worked fine but didn't send cardI will try what you suggested, but without much hope. I carefully copied the same settings for gmail that I used to set up my Thunderbird account, so I know they work fine.
And when I tried to send from another email server, I got messages that AOL and Gmail wouldn’t deliver since they thought it was spam.

In reply to: [wp-greet] Installation worked fine but didn't send cardSomeone recently used your password to try to sign in to your Google Account [ email redacted, please do not post those here ]. This person was using an application such as an email client or mobile device.
We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt:

If you do not recognize this sign-in attempt, someone else might be trying to access your account. You should sign in to your account and reset your password immediately.
Reset password
If this was you, and you are having trouble accessing your account, complete the troubleshooting steps listed at https://support.google.com/mail?p=client_login

In reply to: [wp-greet] Installation worked fine but didn't send cardTried that. Still got the suspicious login message and the message that it prevented the signin attempt. So these cards are rejected by aol and gmail as well as my own domain server. Where are they working?

In reply to: [wp-greet] Installation worked fine but didn't send cardI have discovered that the card did indeed send (I used a gmail account) but gmail deemed it suspicious and did not let the email go through.

Is there a workaround? It seems as if it would be fairly common to use a gmail account with your application.

In reply to: [wp-greet] Installation worked fine but didn't send cardI did use smpt in the wp greet options. I did edit the username and password of the mail account in phpmailer-conf.php. This was all done before I submitted my question above.
Would it be better for me to use php mail then? If so, what do I need to change?
