Our page theme is Salient.
It’s a full width style theme that uses Visual Composer to manage and arrange various page elements.
I have not yet contacted them to see if we can remedy the issue. I’ve switched the calendar view to List to circumvent the issue temporarily, but would much rather utilize the grid view long-term.
I can contact them to see if the issue can be remedied from a theme standpoint.
This theme does allow the utilization of custom CSS, if that helps.
Any help with this would be awesome. Currently the way the pop up is so far removed from the hover location renders the calendar useless.
Looks like the issue is definitely tied to the theme.
I activated the Twenty Fifteen WP theme and the popup box floats right underneath the event title as it should.

I currently have the Event Calendar shortcode placed inside a text “module” on the page.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Array ErrorI’m using the latest.
I’ve deleted it and re-downloaded, re-uploaded, everything.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Array ErrorAny help with this would be super appreciated. I haven’t updated any of our other sites to the new Simple Calendar for fear of this issue springing up there as well.
I followed all the steps to create the calendar that I would’ve to previously create a Google Calendar Events calendar. I have the API key, the calendar is Public, etc.
Using the basic settings as well, nothing custom. Grid view.
Even tried to switch to List view to see if that were achievable, but no.
Definitely not ruling out user error, but I’m not sure how to prove out causes as it looks to be a code issue.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Private EventsI had a similar problem. What I ended up doing was pulling events based on a search query “Public Event” and including this keyword within the event description for all events that were public, leaving it out of events that were private.
There may be a better way, but this works so far!
I’ve taken a stab at it, but honestly I’m not really savvy with code. I know enough to be dangerous but most of it is trial and error. Applying margin: or position: traits to the code didn’t do anything, but again – I could have been doing it completely wrong.
My issue ended up being that the calendar I was referencing in the shortcode was part of a family of calendars that was publicly shared, but yet this particular calendar was not. I overlooked this, thinking that because the main calendar was shared, this one would be as well.
Not the case!
Crap! That worked. It would be that simple! I really appreciate the help! I wouldn’t have thought to change those values. Thanks John!
I accidentally stumbled onto the real issue: the feed does not act the same way as the other elements in the page when re-positioning responsively.
I can re-size the window and at a certain point, everything is centered. But making the window smaller or larger will make it appear off center, as the feed does not react the same way the other content does.
The feed still “moves” and “responds” to the larger or smaller window, but it is as though it is a separate element from the page entirely.
I’m going live with the site tomorrow morning and will follow up with a URL for viewing.
Thanks for the reply!
This CSS didn’t end up helping, it actually somewhat broke the feed, cutting off the right side of it. I appreciate the help though.I am going to go live with the site within the next week, and will post the URL to the site once I have. Hopefully this will give you a better idea of what is happening. The feed itself functions great – and other than being off center, everything looks good.
I would like to eventually purchase the PRO version of this plugin to apply to our family of websites, but first need to make sure that it is going to function within the theme our websites use.
Unfortunately the site is on a local test server, not live. I took a screenshot of it however:

I hope this helps.
The shortcode is being placed within Visual Composer columns. It’s a 1/3 1/3 1/3 Layout to center the elements on the page. But whenever I use a full width column, the feed will break again, this time pushing the Feed Header and Like Box to the left and down.
