In reply to: Words not wrapping in 2.3 WYSIWYG post editorThe plot thickens as, while using Opera, I seemed to have the same issue with Google Docs. Ironically, I was using Docs as a “workaround” to publish directly into my WordPress blog.
…looking more and more like my Opera browser is a culprit.

In reply to: Words not wrapping in 2.3 WYSIWYG post editorIncidentally, I opened an offending post in Firefox (vs. Opera where I authored said post) and it seemed to fix itself.
Opera issue perhaps?

In reply to: Best way to take my WP install “offline”?Well I just made an .htaccess file pointing to a splash page. Seems to have basically done what I wanted.
Thanks for the replies.

In reply to: Best way to take my WP install “offline”?Thanks again.
I should specify that I merely want to work offline, then cut+paste text after I bring my site back up. I’m really not planning on doing much development.
In other words it’s ok if the site is disabled to even me –just so long as I can bring it back online easily.
I figured maybe I could just move some folders or disable some files to take down my WP install while using .htaccess to make a splash screen…?

In reply to: Best way to take my WP install “offline”?Thanks. I’m going to look into that method.
However, in the meantime I’d like to have a “splash page” that shows up but with no valid links, etc. This way it’d be a bit more “elegant” of a solution rather than having a password popup box.
Thanks again…anyone else got ideas?

In reply to: YouTube videos inside WP 2.0.2THANKS!
After searching for a solution for a loooong time, I finally found this secret bit of information:
“2.- Deactivate “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically ” in “options” – “writing”.”
I didn’t want to install plug-ins, etc. and I was getting jealous that people got this working in default WP 2.0 but not me… BUT now it works.
This thread can probably save lots of people headaches.
Thanks again. !!

In reply to: Default Kubrick Theme Fixed..Including 1px footer/header shift…Cool cool cool!
I had to fiddle with stuff for a bit. I uploaded new files and everything was fine. I updated bits of code to get things back to I had them –and the 1 px. problem returned!
However I went back, piece by piece and using process of elimination I realized it was caused by a line in my header file. There were extra spaces or something when I went to put a “randomizer” code in there. I removed them and things look great now! (FF and IE)
Little by little I’m learning…Thanks for all your help.

In reply to: Default Kubrick Theme Fixed..Including 1px footer/header shift…I really didn’t do anything fancy, just set up a few plug’s that required some cut+pasting of codes. I just don’t want to have to go back in there and do it all over again.
I guess I can just save my old ones in notepad or something and fix up the new ones once I have it all installed (paste code back into the new files).
My URL is my user name + .com
Thanks again.

In reply to: Footer 1 pixel off in Firefox? IE ok. [Kubrick]Thanks again spencerp.
But perhaps you can look at the question I just posted re: this issue at the thread you referred me to. (Seemed the logical place to ask, as opposed to this thread)

In reply to: Default Kubrick Theme Fixed..Including 1px footer/header shift…Hello,
I was referred to this page to fix my “1 px” problem on the footer.
I’ve downloaded and unRAR’d the folder. But I’m not sure which files to overwrite.
You see, I’ve modded my sidebar and header and while it was quite fun I’d really prefer not to have to go through and add all those code snippets (for quote randomizer, etc.)
So do I really need to overwrite those files to fix this footer alignment problem? And if not, which files should I put on my server?
Thank you.
EDIT: Or perhaps I could save my current “header” and “sidebar”, drop the new Kubrick onto my server, then cut+paste my old “sidebar” and “header” in the console?
