@omarfpg I see this wasn’t in the latest update. Hoping for a quick fix because it makes a mess of customs forms for international shipments. We’re unable to remove line items or declare anything that doesn’t have a weight, so we’re stuck declaring things that aren’t there.

Splitting the shipment doesn’t give us a workable solution either. Need fixed ASAP.

This is a vital feature that should be included. I’ve seen enough of the code to recognize that a lot of copying and pasting was happening, so perhaps this could be expedited.

I must disagree with you about workflows. There are several scenarios where purchasing a new label for the same order is most helpful, and this was a feature used fairly often in our workflows—mostly for correcting errors and dealing with abnormal circumstances.

In fact, the day we switched to this version, we had a customer contact us to say that an item had been left out of their order—a mistake on our part. In this case, we want to be able to create the new label and have it attached to the same order without affecting inventory.

I do hope the team will respect the fact that not every shop operates in the same ways and give us back this feature that was removed.

Thank you for your reply. I do hope for and expect the Woo team to get this right eventually. My complaint is focusing on two HUGE problems with this plugin: (1) It’s advertised as an “upgrade”, and (2) loss of functionality without proper warning.

The emails that were sent to Shipping & Tax users specifically said:

There was nothing new, improved, or seamless about this upgrade. I advise users to wait as long as possible before switching to avoid as much chaos as you can. Eventually, you’ll have no choice—nut hopefully by then this version will better resemble what we had before.

I’m utterly confused as to how this plugin made it to production. Shipping & Tax was a feature-rich, fully functional extension with nearly a million active installs. How did the Woo team come to the conclusion that this version was ready, or that it should be marketed as an “upgrade”? There is not a single new feature in the plugin, and many essential functions of the old version were removed without warning. Shop owners are left to scramble to revert, or deal with it.

With Shipping & Tax, the “ship to” address would automatically attempt to verify when the modal loaded. This gave us a quick view of whether the address was good or not – without having to remember to click anything.

With this update to Shipping, we must remember to click and manually verify the address in order to make sure it is correct. This is an easily forgotten step – especially since it wasn’t necessary before.

This was the functionality of Shipping & Tax. It was removed in the new Shipping extension, but it is a vital function for many shipping managers.

I am having this same issue. There is no way to edit or delete packages once they have been saved or migrated. Additionally, the process of creating a new saved template does not give you the option to designate a weight to the package (the weight automatically sets to 0, with no way to edit).

IMO, removing the saved package setting from the Settings page was a confusing move to begin with, but why did you also have to make it so much worse?

You have to buy this functionality now. They charge $109/year for the USPS “add-on”. There is no longer any native option to use the USPS API. Highly aggravating, and completely absent from any marketing for this “upgrade”.

Same issue here. This is a significant setback for our workflows with this new plugin. Need a fix ASAP.
