Can anybody give me the detail on exactly how to add mp4 file permissions to my htaccess file?

i have located the file, and all it says is:

# BEGIN WordPress
# END WordPress

so it won’t work for videos? that’s my need. But I really appreciate the suggestion!

hi again. My host support directed me to this link in order to verify that my upload limit is 20 MB:

singathome.org/phpinfo.php

When I go there, I do see this line:
upload_max_filesize 20M 20M

but then I see THIS line:

post_max_size 8M 8M

Am I wrong, or doesn’t this line have to be changed to 20M? I am hoping the stupidity rests with me and not my host.

TY all so much…i tried Shelly’s code (using 20MB) in the config file but the 8MB in the WP media uploader will not change yet. Gotta run to the bank, but later will retry your suggestion in case i have made incorrect entries. ARG-h-h-h-h-h-h!!!!!

could you please tell me where the wp-config.php file is located…i can’t seem to find it.thank you.

Perhaps I also should say that I have used the host(Doteasy.com) admin panel upload, and it DID upload a file larger than 8MB(they say their limit is 20). I can see it in the directory under:
public_html/wp-content/uploads/2012/08

but when I log into WP, it will not show up in the media section.
Is that because the WP 8MB limit is blocking it, or am I missing something? thank you.
