Ok after some trial and error it appears that once I create a feed I CANNOT make any changes to it, otherwise I will get errors like I described.
I got it working (successfully saved a CSV) by copying a feed, making any adjustments ahead of time, then running the feed (clicking refresh feed button).
Any idea why this might be the case?

I checked the logs and see only a logged event from 5/13. nothing from yesterday
I cannot get my feed to download (csv).
The link produces a 404 error.I always understood that is the way the plugin maps color by default. My question is for my case, whereby I have a lot of products that are not already populated with a color attribute, but DO already have tags with their respective colors. Can I somehow map tags to the google product feed color field?
Thanks for taking the time to answer and sorry for not being more clear. You didn’t read my question correctly. Respectfully, I need you to understand that I have been using woocommerce for years and I am well aware of how to add color and size values for variation products. But in some cases, the only variation for a clothing product is size. Yet google still requires a color be specified in the feed.
Here is the documenation where a pair of sneakers is shown as the example:

I just tried out the free version and could not get a successful feed to process.
Several times I got a completely blank feed.
When I was able to get a feed populated with products, the filter did not work properly (I selected for a specific category to only show)
However all categories showed.
In that feed all my product titles were appended with the variation options lol.
So if a product offered a fabric weight and size, the product title was [product title] + 4 oz. S
there are several other hiccups I noticed as well.
If support wants to reach out to help me get a successful feed to download I may consider upgrading or continue using. But right now, I can say the plugin is not working as described.
I have worked with several other google shopping feed plugins and even created my own feeds from scratch using google sheets.
Could it be user error? Tell me what I am doing wrong please.- This reply was modified 2 years, 6 months ago by gourmetkickz.

i am not familiar with that theme, but i think editing the php is a bit dangerous so I personally prefer to edit css.
in your stylesheet find the line of code that styles the #header.
the second set of code should define the text for the header text or “title”
once u find this, just adddisplay: none;
and then save the change.
go back to ur blog and guess what, the title displays nothing, but look in IE, still has ur blog name there for SEO!simple easy and fast. dont mess with php unless u fully understand it.
css is a breeze and alot of things can be fixed in css without ever touching php files.
