Sometimes it’s not the plugin’s fault, exactly. Even a well-coded plugin can become a problem if it’s not maintained, because so many other elements, including WordPress itself, are changing regularly.

As for your “box of a different color,” you might try Symple Shortcodes. (The boxes are about 1/3 of the way down the demo page.) Pretty easy to implement, too.

FWIW, I switched to another toggling plugin (that one didn’t seem too supported), and it’s up and working. Thanks again!

What I mean by hidden content…?It’s probably easier to demonstrate. Click the green text on this page and it will reveal a bunch of (hidden) text below it. Click the green text again and that big block of text will disappear.

The plugin is for creating hidden content, which is revealed when you click on some text. It works by shortcode, so copy this

[dropdown_box expand_text=" xx text to be clicked to expand xx" show_more="" show_less="" start="hide"] xx your content here xx [/dropdown_box]

and replace with your content. Make sure you paste it in the HTML view, so it strips out the formatting you’ll see here.

Good to know. I’ve tried targeting the following:

• ol
• ol.lcp_catlist
• .widget ol.lcp_catlist

with this:

{ list-style: decimal!important; }

And none of them work. Ugh.

For kicks, I made a page for the shortcode that wasn’t wrapped in the other shortcode (jQuery Expanding Box), and it works fine there. So I’m assuming something in that other plugin is stripping out <ol> tags.

Off to bother that developer now!
