Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Navigating in site does not workI got a suggestion on a Swedish discussion list for WP that someone had the same problem and changed the permalink back to default and that solved her problem. I did the same thing and it now works for me too.
Conclusion? Use default for permalinks? At least at some web hotels?
I looked at the permalinks page but the techniques were not simple and clearly enough described for me to use.

In reply to: Navigating in site does not workNo, they do not work on https://www.enkelwebbplats.se, that is the original problem. They do however work on https://www.goranlindgren.se.
I changed the permalinks to https://www.enkelwebbplats.se/2008/06/sample-post/ but it did not help.

In reply to: Navigating in site does not workThank you for quick reply. But I have a similar setup at another site (https://www.goranlindgren.se/) where it works perfectly well. That is on another web hotel, does that explain that?
I have seen several recomendations to use /%postname%/ but I would be happy to get a better suggestion. Please suggest!

In reply to: Linking Blog Posts to a websiteI was unclear. I want to display feeds from my forum in bbPress on my WP blog but preferably not only in the sidebar. I need a plugin for that, I think?

In reply to: Linking Blog Posts to a websiteSimplepie seems interesting but there are several options. On their webpage they list the following:
*King RSS – A feed widget for the new WordPress Widgets system.
*MyTwitter – Plugin that displays your Twitter “tweets” in your WP blog.
*SimpleLife – A very simple WordPress Plugin adapted from a custom php script for lifestreams.
*SimplePie Plugin for WordPress – A full-fledged WordPress plugin that allows you to a variety of options for displaying feeds on your site.
*WP-o-Matic – WP-o-Matic is a WordPress plugin that will allow you to create posts automatically from feeds. With its simple interface, you just type in the feed url, select in which categories you want to create the posts, and you’re ready to go.
Any advice on which to try? I would like to have feeds not only in my sidebar. I use the Mimbo theme. My testsite: https://www.goranlin.se/blogg/wordpress/
