I only have experience of one area and suggest the Adsensedeluxe plugin for the ‘GoogleAds PlugIn’ It is flexible in that you can insert ads in sidebars or in posts and through the admin panel change all the advert type across the site from one control panel.

I’m not familiar with blue host but on my cpanel I have a file manager option and when I click that I can see the directory structure on the server.

Navigate this to the root directory for your blog, then wp-content directory then plugins directory.

Possibly needs a change in your stylesheet – do you have a url we could look at?

Also Technoratti is a bit tempremental so set your feed to full not excerpts … or it will sulk and possibly stop indexing your site.

A high level answer to your question is … by using a .htaccess redirect.

Be careful if you have both urls accessible and appearing to be separate you may get a google duplicate content penalty.

Can you clarify your issue and confirm it is still there, have you changed anything?

When I look at your site in IE and Firefox there is nothing there save an email link and a copyright notice.

And make sure that WordPress can write to your .htaccess file or it will not be able to set up the permalink redirection.

If you check .htaccess it should have a section written by wordpress now.

If you put the code to insert the image at the bottom of the code in the sidebar file ( probably called sidebar.php in your theme directory) then the image will display as the last item in the sidebar.

Oh, I see …. Plugins are stand alone .php files which should be placed in the wp-content/plugins directory.

When you do this they will then show in the plugins dashboard where you then need to activate them.

Is this a new install or an existing site on which the error has just happened?

WordPress expects to find files in subdirectories relative to itself, if you have moved the index file to a completely different directory the configuration changes required may run deeper than the actions you have taken.

I have several blogs running in subdirectories and they are fine on the original install configuration.

Is there a reason why you need the setup you have outlined?

Could you advise of your url?

When you open up header.php you will probably also see that there is a set of embedded styles in that file like this section: –

Check that section because it is still throwing up the old blue header image which is behind the white header you designed. The code created is https://www.stiknstein.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/header-img.php?upper=000000&lower=0000DD

find this section in the stylesheet style.css

It depends upon the software running on your website and I do not know what that is.

The most recent postings in your blog will be in its RSS feed so I suggest you look at how to incorporate entries from the feed into your index page site.
