I’ve got the Carrington theme installed in the Themes dir and I’m STILL getting this same error:
WP Mobile is incorrectly installed. Please check the README. The plugin generated 225 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
I uploaded the wp-mobile.php file manually using cPanel’s File Manager.

In reply to: Child Theme no longer applies after update to Parent ThemeSo you can read here what my Theme Author has said in response to my requests for help on this: https://themeforest.net/item/humble-portfolio-and-business-theme/discussion/595690?page=33
Unfortunately, in his own words, he’s “not very good with Child Theme[s]” so I am not expecting a lot more help from him there. He did release an update to the Parent Theme (v1.3) on Friday which I just applied. I was hoping there was some glitch in the MySQL database due to me having to manually change folder names in File Manager after the v1.28 update, but when I used FTP tonight to upload the 1.3 files, it didn’t help. My Parent Theme version is now showing v1.3 which is good, but the Child Theme (which is the one activated) is still not “in control” of the stylesheet. Once it starts working, the Menus and H1, H2, etc. headings should all be Capitalized instead of UPPERCASE.
Chip, I appreciate your comments in directing me back to talk to the Theme Designer, but as I noted earlier, he’s really not an expert in Child Themes. He lives in Spain and has pretty decent English, but I just don’t know what else I can expect from him. Themeforest doesn’t provide any “overall” tech support that I know of, so really I need to inquire for help on boards like this. You’ve shut me down on two different boards already, so I plead with you to allow me to continue to request help on here.
The site is live now and I assume my css and php files are accessible to someone who knows what to look for. Has anyone ever seen a case like this before? My child theme is called Humble-Child and is located in a folder named ‘humble-child1’.
Thank you!

In reply to: Child Theme no longer applies after update to Parent ThemeI will ask him again and see what I can get from him.
Thanks anyway.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Child Theme no longer applies after update to Parent ThemeI was worried that would be a problem. My theme designer is from Spain and said he’s “not very good with Child Themes.” ??
If the site were live, would you then be able to access all of the files as needed to assist me? Right now we are SOOOO close to launch and the CSS details that were in my Child Theme were all specific requests from my client, but nothing that would hinder the site from functioning properly. If I can convince my client to allow it to launch without those CSS changes implemented, would you then be able to help me?
Thanks so much again!

<?php comments_template(); ?>
change worked!! THANK YOU!! ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comments working on blog posts but NOT on pagesOkay, so I got that part working, but now the “Comments (1)” link does nothing when I click it. What piece of code is missing that will let the comments show up, and where do I put it? Sorry to sound like such a newbie here, but I have absolutely no idea how these files got so mucked up (or even modified at all!) Could a plugin or a template file have done this?

In reply to: Comments working on blog posts but NOT on pagesThanks for the tips.
I did find that
<?php include 'comments.php'?>
was not included in my page.php file. Now I just have to figure out where in the code to insert it…Forum: Fixing WordPress
