  • While I understand the unpredictable stupidity that current Twitter leadership produces, it is a great sadness to read you will have a solution for your paying users within few days. Yet the rest of us are left with a plugin that stays unusable.

Prioritization for paying vs free customers is one thing when rolling out new functionalities but unless you’re providing something like your own dedicated resources to your paying customers, I’d argue waiting for basic functionality to be reinstated is very disappointing.

I don’t know what to tell you, you are the author and know a lot more on the subject of course. But for two days this worked perfectly fine with combination of enabling timed refresh in both plugins’ settings to 1hr. I don’t know if that prompted entire cache to be refreshed once per hour or just those elements, but it did work fine.

Only shame is mobile theme caching is a premium feature so I couldn’t continue using this one, otherwise it was everything I was looking for.

    Thanks for answering.

If you’re able to, can you please provide me with a temporary fix that isn’t exclude my homepage cache completely? Is there a way to load the elements after page cache is displayed?

Not really, I found it was possible to include elements css class into excluded list and it updated both regularly. Unfortunately due to mobile theme caching being locked behind premium price tag, I had to opt for WP-Optimize that does it in the free version.

Shame as everything else that this plugin did was fantastic! Just wasn’t meant to be.

Thanks for your response. Since Cloudflare itself was causing unexpected issues, I opted for not using it in the end so same goes for this plugin.

But your response in general is helpful.

Yup I knew it was something in that file, couldn’t manage to find what it was. Solved now, it starts article numbering from article 1 (>0) instead of 2 (>1). Thanks again.

I forgot to add flexslider style to style.css. As for second part, it was an easy edit: in tuto_excerpt_more simply change the return part to return ‘ and it’s done. Thanks.

I did some minor tweaking in other files, I think the last problem I’ll have for now is as follows: after adding a slider to the main page, I had to remove mh-loop-large-item aka the big first article so it doesn’t look hideous. However, I can’t find a way to restart the article numbering so that instead of skipping the article that would go into that big “landing” article (which is now removed) that article appears in mh-loop-grid along with other two articles. That results with me losing the latest article because it isn’t shown anywhere on the page. Any suggestions?

You misunderstood both questions – styling is not my problem here, I can easily change it to my liking – as I did already. The widget itself doesn’t work properly, I’m assuming it’s lacking a key file or a function that activates the sliding. I’ll try to work it out on my own.

The second part regarding custom read more text – I wasn’t referring to the text in the default Read more button, but to a sudden break after 25 words or whatever the value is. I want to know can I somehow add a “…” or “(…)” or something alike after those 25 words and before the Read more button? So it looks like hendrerit mauris id dolor suscipit, et(…) Read More instead of hendrerit mauris id dolor suscipit, et Read More, unfortunately if I use a plugin the Read more button disappears – is there a way to define both the button and the “…” as a Read more part to have them both active at the same time? Or just plainly add a “…” after 25 words, keeping Read more button active below?

My mistake there, got ahead of myself before trying it out.

Thumbnails are fine now, completely forgot to regenerate them after applying Tuto. I think that’s all for now, will update this thread if I need anything else.

    Great support for now, thanks!

Thanks for your answer, I have some experience in coding and I have a solid understanding of how things work, but I’m still learning. I’ve managed to complete both tasks.

If anyone else needs it, footer design can be changed in footer.php:

    <div class="mh-col-1-2 mh-widget-col-1 mh-footer-area mh-footer-1">

Class mh-col-1-2 is two-columned design whilst the default assigned class mh-col-1-3 is three-columned. Likewise, you can change it to four-columned by having all footer divs as class mh-col-1-4.

I guess there’s no harm in asking a few more questions in this thread, for starters, can you make post thumbnails always the same size when shown on main page?
