    Hi guys.

The dates of the files match the last cache preload time so I guess everything is in order. Thanks for the help.

    Hi.

Yesterday I pressed the Purge Cache button but it looks like nothing has been purged.

Yes, I do have “Generate separate files for mobile devices” enabled. Even so, I don’t think there shouldn’t be 1000 files. It looks like there are 4 files for each post/page though? There’s an html page for the desktop and mobile versions, and then .gz for each of those. If each file is counted separately then perhaps that’s where there are so many…

Yes, I use All In One SEO which generates my XML sitemap.

Anyway, maybe the file count is correct, but that still doesn’t change the fact that the cache isn’t purging when I tell it to.

Edit: I take that back… maybe?? I see that the cache was automatically preloaded early this morning. Maybe the cache did purge and was repopulated. I have no idea. The button didn’t seem to do anything after I hit it yesterday though.

    Hi, George.

    Sorry for the late response.

I wonder if it is the CSS on my site? Because even the preview on the Twitter Publish page has huuuuuuuge font sizes.

I’d prefer not to have to install a new plugin, but is there one that can embed a Twitter feed onto a page (not sidebar widget) where you can customize all the colors and fonts, etc?

    Hi.

Thanks for the response. The bullets show up fine when I make lists in a custom text or HTML widget so I’m not sure what in the theme could be preventing them to show up when used within the accordion widget.

Do you have an idea what kind of CSS coding would prevent bullets on a list from showing? Maybe I can search for that in my stylesheet because at this time I don’t know what CSS class might have the tag in it.

    Thanks.

Scratch that. I found the culprit. Thanks.

    Hi.

    Most excellent!

Sorry but can you tell me how I can install this? I tried uploading the php file to the Display Posts plugin folder and then added pagination=”true” to the shortcode but that doesn’t seem to have worked.

Also, if all you have to do is upload the php file to the plugin’s directory, will it be overwritten should the plugin be updated in the future?

    Thanks.

The most visitors I’ve ever had in a day was about 1500 one month ago (before things started getting sluggish) and I generally average around 50-150.

My site is running on PHP 7.2.

    Hi, @ipstenu.

    Thanks for the detailed response.

At your advice, I’ve gone ahead and deactivated Wordfence and WP-Optimize. Unfortunately Jetpack’s related posts feature doesn’t have many customization options, and I use Popular Posts on my sidebar on every page. I’ve got the cache turned on for Contextual Related Posts so hopefully that will help.

This really is curious though since I had all these plugins running on my site for months and this issue only began within the last couple weeks. Before that my site was running smoothly. Wonder what happened…

    Thread Starter Mew

    (@gokumew2)

Nevermind. I found a z-index option on the Sticky Menu plugin and setting this to 99999 resolved the issue.

    Oh, one more thing…

I have Akismet installed but actually my site has comments disabled. Does this mean I don’t need the Akismet plugin?

Even though I have comments disabled, the Akismet page on the dashboard tells me that it’s blocked 16 spam this month, 50 spam last month, etc. What kind of spam is it blocking?

    @catacaustic, @kartiks16,

Thank you for the advice. I’ve deactivated the following:
    All-in-One WP Migration
    Child Theme Configurator
    Search & Replace Version
    Health Check & Troubleshooting
    WP Rollback

I’ve also tried activating Jetpack’s site acceleration feature.

It’s funny because I’ve received conflicting advice regarding the number of plugins one can use. Before when I inquired on a different forum here on WP.org whether too many plugins could impact performance, I was told that it wouldn’t matter much.

What’s really curious though is that this issue literally began within the last week or so, even though I’ve not made any major changes. Wonder what happened.

Anyway, I hope deactivating some of those plugins will show a noticeable increase in performance on my site. Thank you again for the advice.

OF COURSE the moment I ask about it is when it is fixed, haha. Thanks so much guys! I can confirm that the issue has been resolved. Phew!

    (@gokumew2)

Hi. Are there any updates regarding this issue? It’s pretty annoying…

    Thread Starter Mew

    (@gokumew2)

I see. That sounds a little too complicated for me so I’ll just find a plugin. Thank you for your time!

Thank you for replying. I’m sorry, I’m probably just being blind but could you point me towards the proper documentation? I can’t seem to find it.

    Thanks.

Also, just FYI that I only want the tabs in the widget to load accordion style. The tabs in the main content of my website I would like to load as normal. Would making changes apply to all tabs?

EDIT: Actually I think it’s that part on the main plugin page, but it definitely looks like it would apply to all tabs. If that’s the case then I’ll have to look for a separate plugin.
