Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Page editor conflict with theme settingsI wrote the code in dreamweaver and copy and pasted the html in the editor.
What you mention I have never done before. Currently I have CKEditor installed as the editor.
Basically I didnt think it was that easy. I have been fighting updating using the editor for quite some time and decided just to copy and paste all html in there from now. This is the only template it hasn’t worked for me and I was baffled by it.
Thank you very much for your help. Im sure I will have issues on other pages but at least I am able to now open the site. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know because something so simple I was making complicated.
Id still like to know how this template doesn’t read the html properly.
Thanks again

In reply to: Contact Us Forms with Network Solutions not workingThanks zoonini Ill look in to this and appreciate you taking the time to reply to me. I actually started by placing a post in the network solutions forum and the forum admin is the one who requested I start the support ticket request. Which of course makes me think that they know things like this happen all the time and want you to buy that darn support package for something simple.
I will see what your other resources say and see if there is anything I can do on my end. I wouldnt be surprised if they simply blocked it all out so I was not able to fix this without. ??

In reply to: Contact Us Forms with Network Solutions not workingI got through to network solutions and this is some sort of way to get you to pay for support. They replied by telling me to open a support ticket, which I did, then stated that I could buy their 99 dollar mytime support package to fix this within that support ticket. All a waste of time carefully explaining the problem.
When we all know, this is probably the un-checking of a box regarding form mailing permissions of some sort which isn’t guaranteed to work anyway.
I will have to come up with some sort of way to get this working on my own if this is possible.

In reply to: Contact Us Forms with Network Solutions not workingNo, they do not go through with any email used unfortunately. ?? I’ve tried a few different ones on different servers and such unrelated to network solutions.
I opened a support ticket at network solutions to see what they say about it.
Thank you for replying and the information. I appreciate it. Ill report back here if i get a reply from them in case anyone else runs in to the same problem.
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Installation Network SolutionsThis helps Chad, thanks, I appreciate it. It is definitely the place I needed to go.
However, I just found out that the hosting package I am trying to install this to, is a Windows hosting platform. Network Solutions doesnt allow wordpress to run on a Windows hosting platform.
We now have to purchase the unix hosting, and hope for a refund on the windows hosting.
Thanks for your help and I added my reply here in case someone else has this same issue.

In reply to: Encrypted code footerThank you very much Clayton, this is great information indeed. I appreciate your time and guidance with this. And thank you for decoding it as well. Hopefully I will now be able to do this on my own but it equally appears the best thing is to avoid these types of themes.
I understand their reason for doing so, but I wish that there was a way to be guaranteed that if you purchased a theme, there would be no malicious tracking in the code itself. Maybe someone knows of a site with advanced themes that you do buy which are free of any tracking code.
Or better yet a membership type site where all themes are clear of tracking code once you are a member.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Encrypted code footerOn a secondary note, I have read that this particular site uses some sort of tracking in their codes (freewordpressthemes4u.com) I have no problem paying their usage fee and believe they deserve it. However, does anyone know if this will remove said tracking code from the site and if the theme is then safe to use?
Basically I have read here to stay away from themes at this site due to this and am simply wondering if buying it will take care of the problem?

In reply to: Remove a columnAs another option, if this will help anyone figure it out. I can remove sidebar one, extend the main area of the site and use just sidebar 2 for the mustang picture and pages categories.
If I do this, I will need to find a way to remove the word “advertisement” from the sidebar 2.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Remove a columnAnd within the theme there are two pages. Sidebar 1 and 2. Removing all of the code in sidebar 2.php gets rid of it, however sidebar one is still sitting there with space to the right where sidebar 2 used to be. Id like to move that over and make it larger at the same time.
Thanks

In reply to: Remove home from nav bar & comments are offAt first when i removed all of the code you list, it gave an error message.
I put the code back in and only removed the capital HOME (line 51) and then it worked.
It appears to be working now and I thank you for the help. Hopefully there isnt a long term issue in doing so and it appears there are no errors anywhere.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Remove home from nav bar & comments are offThank you for the reply I appreciate it!
Unfortunately the custom menu option isnt working in that way. It appears it only will work as a right side bar widget menu ??
However I was able to find the date option and thank you for the help.
To get the comments area off I actually found that in the comments.php file instead of the page.php so the idea was there and I thank you.
Hopefully there is a way to get the home button out of the nav bar when using a static page as home.
I have seen it a lot here in the forums but none of their suggestions fix it with my particular template.

In reply to: SEO questionsThanks for the reply. Do you feel that it is causing any problems with SEO by having the site in the home folder? I was told that it doesnt hurt or help the seo and is a non issue. What is your take on the matter? (or anyone)
And thank you again for the links and information.
