In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Quiz says created but not thereTry switching your theme to twenty ten. It may be your theme. And I assure you that your ads are not so vital that you can’t turn then off for 1 minute to hit the refresh button.
The plugin works. https://gmichaelguy.com/quizplugin/ to see it in action. So if it’s not working for you, then you have a conflict. Send me some links and I’ll try to spot the issues later this evening. But I guarantee if you disable all plugins and switch to twenty ten (or twenty eleven) it will work. Then you have to track down conflict. Before I see what the conflict is I cannot help resolve it.
This has happened before and in every case it was another plugin. Most often it was plugins that either embedded videos or plugins that cache or compress parts of the site.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] mtouch quiz – stopped workingAs I replied to your email,
this quiz works:?https://www.spanish-aid.co.uk/2011/06/05/quiz-of-the-day-ser-estar/?and this one doesn’t:?https://www.spanish-aid.co.uk/2011/06/15/quiz-of-the-day-practica-de-video/?So I think the problem is likely with your video plugin. Also, there are a ton of errors on your site. You should start by disabling ALL plugins. Yes, ALL! Then enable mine. If mine works now, then there is a problem with your plugins. Reenable them one at a time until my plugin stops working, and then you will know the problem plugin. If after disabling ALL plugins mine still does not work, change your theme to the Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven default theme. At this point, my plugin will almost certainly work, and you will know the problem is with your theme.
As many errors as you have, it is likely a lot of things. But if you turn on only my plugin with the default WordPress theme, it will probably work just fine. In which case, it’s not really something I can fix because I didn’t break it.

In reply to: [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Blank admin when activatedBest way to know is to disable them. Then reenable my plugin. If the same thing happens, it wasn’t their plugin. if it works now, it was them. But my guess is there is a conflict. I’ve never figured out what it is, so you will probably be out of luck and have to stick with your other plugins which are probably more important to you. I wish I could be more helpful. :-\

In reply to: [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Blank admin when activatedI have heard of similar experiences for users who also use the “Theme my login” plugin. Do you use this or any other plugins that alter your login or dashboard? I use it on 3.2 myself with no problems.

In reply to: [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Limiting Quiz attemptsNot possible. The plugin is about learning and not testing. Learning often requires multiple attempts. Sorry.
This feature has existed for some time. See https://gmichaelguy.com/quizplugin/displaying-the-quiz/ for details.
In a nutshell, use the shortcode [mtouchquiz id=1 questions=10 randomq=on] to display 10 randomly chosen questions from the quiz with id number 1.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Quiz Flickering aroundIt looks like you have some plugin installed that combines and minifies all your javascripts into one. I cannot troubleshoot without being able to see the actions of my scripts in an easier way. please disable that plugin and see if that fixes it. if not, post again and I’ll see if I can offer more advice.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] RATING variableJust type it in. The editor doesn’t have an “HTML” button, but it will still accept it. It actually treats all input as HTML by default.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Quiz Flickering aroundI think it is because your images are confusing the quiz to know how wide your questions are. They are very wide. That’s my guess. Trim your images to fit within the bounding box of your main post content.
Sorry for the late reply.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Problem with MUSorry for my delayed response. It would be better if you show me a page that does NOT work so I can try to figure it out. I should note that your theme could also be the culprit. So perhaps you can switch to the default 2010 theme with all other plugins disabled and see if it works then.
More details and a link to something broken would be helpful.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] Changing colors of mTouch QuizYou’re right. I admit I picked colors that worked for my own site, without much regard for your site. I included all of the original photoshop files for anyone who wanted to easily change the colors of the images.
I do strongly disagree with one of your recommendations, however. I recommend you NOT edit my style file. The non-minified version is there for you to read, not edit. Instead, you should incorporate your changes into your own theme’s css files. That way when I upgrade the plugin (which is actively being developed, though not at a break neck speed) your changes are not lost. I think that’s what we call a “best practice.”
I can definitely feel the love <sarcasm>in your constructive post </sarcasm>. The great thing about open source and the GPL is that if you don’t like something, you get to change it. So have at it and make it your own like I did!
Thanks for commenting. I’m sure others will benefit from your post. I’ll try to add a link to it on my site in the near future.

In reply to: [mTouch Quiz] [Plugin: mTouch Quiz] Works in Chrome, but not in IE or FirefoxI don’t see an mtouch quiz on that page. But the plugin works. When others have had this problem it was because of a conflict with another plugin. The usual way to determine it is to disable all plugins except mtouch quiz. mtouch quiz will likely then work. (If it doesn’t, then its your theme causing the conflict). Then reenable your plugins one at a time until you determine the conflict. Once you know what the conflict is, you pick which plugin you like more or reach out to me with more information in an attempt to resolve the conflict successfully so that you can use both plugins.
Good luck,
Michael
