In reply to: [Plugin: Organize Series] Breaks Pretty PermalinksAny luck nerrad? I haven’t been able to use Organize Series for a couple weeks. Is there anything I can do to help?

In reply to: [Plugin: Organize Series] Breaks Pretty PermalinksI had the same problem yesterday using WP 2.9.2 and 2.1.7 of the plugin. I use Super Cache and Redirect plugins on my site. Whenever I activated the Organize Series plugin, it generated the “No Posts Found” 404 error. All other plugins were deactivated.
It appears that the Organize Series plugin added an extra trailing slash onto the root domain; e.g. “www.mydomain.com//series/…”. I use the permalink structure “/%post-id%/%postname%/”. At first, I thought it was Super Cache since it generated an error. However, I deactivated that plugin, deleted any Super Cache references in the .htaccess file, and then reactivated that plugin. It worked fine and created new mod rewrite rules in the .htaccess file.
I then reactivated the Redirection plugin. Again, everything was OK. But as soon as I activated the Organize Series plugin, it generated the “No Posts Found” 404 error.
Hope that helps – the Organize Series is a great plugin. Hope you can get it fixed. Let me know if I can help further.

In reply to: [Plugin: FD Footnotes Plugin] Problems with WP 2.7 and maybe WP Super CacheLet me add that the error above typically disappears when a hard return is put right after the footnote enclosed text; e.g. [1. Sample footnote.]
However, when I put text right after the footnote enclosed text (e.g. [1. Sample footnote.] More sample text.) some of the “More sample text” is deleted and appears in superscript.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

In reply to: Windows Live Writer Won’t Work with WordPress 2.7It seems to be a problem with multiple embedded images in Windows Live Writer. Text-only posts seem to work just fine. Text + one image posts also upload, although the image filenames get changed (unlike previous versions). So far, I have not been able to upload posts with text + multiple images. I still get the “Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server” error.
So based on these results, I’d say there appears to be a problem using Windows Live Writer to upload posts with multiple images to WordPress 2.7.

In reply to: Windows Live Writer Won’t Work with WordPress 2.7Did I mention I have a number of posts in WLW that need to be posted ASAP and this error is preventing that? This is a major issue.
I see from googling this error that this has occurred with previous versions of WordPress and Windows Live Writer. I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins and using the default WP theme, and still get the same error.
Please help!

In reply to: [Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] New Google Sitemaps Plugin to testHas anyone had problems with Windows Live Writer and WP 2.7 with Google XML Sitemaps? I get the following error with WLW when trying to post:
The response to the metaWeblog.newMediaObject method received from the weblog server was invalid:
Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: invalid response document returned from XmlRpc serverI just upgraded to WP 2.7 yesterday. Up until this point, I rarely had trouble posting using Windows Live Writer. However, yesterday I received the following error message right after the upgrade:
The response to the metaWeblog.newMediaObject method received from the weblog server was invalid:
Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server
I am using WLW 12.0.1366.1026. The site hosting my blog is using PHP 5.2.6.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I’ve tried changing the .htaccess file, modifying the xmlrpc.php file, checked to make sure that the class-IXR.php file is in the wp-includes directory, checked case of filenames. So far nothing has worked. Thanks,
Greg

In reply to: [Plugin: Amazon Widgets Shortcodes] Your feedback is very much appreciatedOncletom – I got it to work. Thanks for the fix. I have a couple questions though about how to use the widget.
1 – In the “Additional Tools” section, there is an option to “Enable Product Preview”. I have this box checked, but then I don’t see any changes to the hypertext links to Amazon products on my blog. Am I missing something? How is this feature supposed to work?
2 – I would like to have the text wrap around the images in my blog posts. Is this an available feature? If not, is it something that could be included in a future release?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Plugin: Amazon Widgets Shortcodes] Your feedback is very much appreciatedThe error message occurs when I activate the plugin. It appears at the very bottom of the main page on my blog – below the “Powered by WordPress and Tarski.”
