bump – i have this problem too. Does anyone know a fix?

Is there another way I can still get the classes switched so it can use ‘hovernews’? I think the news items will need a separate hover state for them to look right because the background for ‘hover’ class only works well with the text/excerpt included.

Wow that worked perfectly! Thank you so much for the guidance. One thing though, this has also removed the background colour (from the class called ‘hover’) of the div containing the text/excerpt, because it is disabling the ‘hover’ class all together. Is there a way I can have the script select a different css class just for the News items.

So the function would be “remove the ‘hover’ class for the ‘News’ category and use a ‘hovernews’ class instead”.

Can you suggest how this would be done? I’m not a programmer but I am trying to learn through trial and error. I’m new to wordpress so I wouldn’t really know where to start editing this code. I originally had it done for me by a developer who has vanished after I paid him for the work, only to realize he hadn’t done what he said he would.

Just found a plugin which does this and also provides more customisation features for Next/Previous links. It’s called ‘Next/Previous Post Links Plus’ and it’s by Ambrosite.

I just found the answer. It was a simple oversight. It was a simple in Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most

Mine was set to 20. I have changed it to 100 and everything now appears.
