Hello,
Although WordPress 5.9 is still in beta we do not expect any issues with the plugin once it is released for everyone.
Hello,
Regarding Q1: Currently we do not have within our roadmap to publish the addon groups in the static menu.
Regarding Q2: As a best practice the online ordering button should be visible on all restaurant website pages and within easy access for the food client. You may check some good examples of button publishing on our demo website https://www.pronto-ny.com/. Check mobile as well for reference.
Regarding customizations of the shortcodes:
If you want your button to use the same style of your other buttons in the theme, you can pass a class name in the shortcode below:
[restaurant-menu-and-ordering class=”your_class_name” ruid=”xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx”]
Like in this example: [restaurant-menu-and-ordering class=”glf-btn-basic” ruid=”xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx”]?
If you want to strip the button of its default style and just let it inherit the parent’s style, leave the class attribute empty, like this:
[restaurant-menu-and-ordering class=”” ruid=”xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx”]`
Hello,
The reason why we don’t show the pricing for all the sizes within the static menu published via the wordpress plugin is due to the fact that the static menu is trying to emulate the ordering widget experience.
In the ordering widget, the food client will see the lowest price first. When the client selects an item to view it, they have taken the decision to be ok with spending that amount.
Now when other sizes are being shown they are not reminded of the total spend but that it’s only a little bit more on what they were committed on spending anyway.
As a static menu is not interactive, we can only notify the food client that there are multiple prices using the phrase ‘FROM’.
All of this is done so that the food client will go to the online ordering widget to place their order which is why we recommend publishing the widget on the static menu page as well for easy access.
So all the designs of our system were implemented in such a way to encourage online ordering and not phone ordering which can take more time for the restaurant staff in comparison to accepting the order in our app which takes a couple of seconds.
However, if the static menu provided by the plugin does not offer sufficient information for you, then the alternative would simply be to create an additional page on your website for your menu and add the menu items there yourself in the format that you consider appropriate.
Hello,
Within our system, it is not possible to embed the menu in the page, it can only function as an overlay. We do not recommend nor support embedded ways of opening the menu due to both sales and technical reasons.
Sales reason: our design starts from the idea that there is nothing more important than sales generation. Once people click on the order button then it’s clear they want to order, and that they want to order from you.?
The marketing job has ended and the sales job starts.…So there is no need to show other visual elements that distract the user from the food and food pictures. This is why we do that grey overlay over the site, ?to create this ‘tunnel vision” and stimulate clients to focus on the ordering, not on some side-banners or website extra content.
Also, the button code allows us to make the visitor have the “same site” experience. It is know fact that once you direct to a different link you may experience between to 10-30 % conversion drop, especially when we talk about PCs visitors.
Technical reason: The button code solves many display and alignment matters in an automatic way so that you can just copy-paste the shortcode without additional hassle.
The button code automatically detects when the menu is accessed from a mobile device and serves the mobile version of the ordering widget.`

Hello,
?First disconnect the current account from the plugin. You may do this from the Settings Tab of the WordPress dashboard like this: https://prntscr.com/kqbmhf
Make sure you reconnect the correct account using the “I already have a restaurant account link” like this: https://prntscr.com/kqbmxx
Hello,
Please contact our support team via the live chat tool within your restaurant admin panel so that we may help in identifying the cause of the issue.
You may find the live chat tool in the right lower corner of your restaurant admin panel, like this: https://prntscr.com/12r4orv
Within our system each location would have a dedicated See menu and order button published on the restaurant website and the food client can select from which location they want to order from at the start of the ordering process. For example: https://www.pronto-chain-nyc.com/
If you have a restaurant that operates in more than one location, you can sign-up and create a restaurant account for each location.
Why separate accounts for each location?
Because each location may have different working hours, delivery policies and minimum fees to apply, or some menu items may be available in one location but unavailable or sold-out in another.
What does this mean on the client front-end?
For each location, a separate “See MENU & Order” button should be displayed on the website so that the clients can choose the ordering location.
What does this mean in the backstage?
Each location will have its own separate login account, its own profile in the admin area, its own menu, and a separate orders taking device on which to accept incoming orders.
This means that for a 3-location restaurant you have to have/buy 3 tablets/smartphones to take orders separately in all 3 locations. All 3 devices must have the order taking app installed.
What we recommend: the multi-location dashboard
In case the second location you want to add is part of the same chain (shares the same branding), then we recommend unlocking the multi-location dashboard.
Here’s how to add a second location to your already existing one:
Go to admin and at the top of the page, where the name of your restaurant is, click on the downward-facing arrow.
Click on “enable multi location dashboard.”

When you connect an HQ account to the WordPress plugin, a dropdown with all the locations within the chain will appear and you will be able to get the shortcode for each location. Here are some examples of how this looks when connected to a chain demo:

You can put all the ordering buttons on the website in whatever format you like and with whatever info you want around it, just like these restaurants: dual-location example: https://www.chicagocheesesteak.com/ tri-location example: https://www.himalayanrestaurant.com.au/ ?? five-locations example: https://burritobandidos.com ? six locations example: https://greekonwheels.ca/order-page/ even more multi-locations example: https://doytaothai.com.au/
For more detailed information on how our system works for chain restaurants, i would suggest to use the live chat tool within your account with us or on our website https://www.gloriafood.com/
Hello,
Within the order taking app the restaurant needs to insert the number of minutes by design.
During non-peak hours, the restaurant can estimate that the kitchen fulfills an order in 20 minutes for example. During peak hours, the restaurant can estimate that an order is fulfilled in 50 minutes, for example.
Which is why for orders for NOW, the restaurant needs to insert the number of minutes in the order taking app, instead of a fixed hour.
If we were to implement such feature in the manner described by you, the restaurant staff would need to check the current time and calculate the exact hour they would need to set as the fulfillment time, which in turn would create even more logistical issues.
Therefore this is not something that we will add to our roadmap. For orders for now, the restaurant will need to insert the number of minutes.
Hello!
We have released the 1.5.0 version which should fix this. Please update and let us know if the issue still occurs.
Hello,
The foodbooking.com domain is the originating domain of the ordering widget.
On desktop devices due to the large amount of screenspace we are able to open the menu as an overlay on the website, so the originating domain of the widget is not visible.
On mobile devices, due to the limited screenspace, the menu opens in the browser tab, so the foodbooking.com originating domain can be seen.
So, by default =>
– for the restaurants which have the “See menu & order” installed on their custom website => the mobile ordering url will originate from foodbooking.com
– for the restaurants which have the Sales optimised website – 94/month service purchased => the mobile ordering url will originate from their sales optimized website domain
After the order has been accepted within our system, there are no other actions required from the food client.
From our experience, most food clients simply close the browser window, which is why the Back button does not appear on the order acceptance step in the ordering widget immediately after the order is accepted.
So we do not have any plans in our near future roadmap to have this button made available before refresh or implement a button that sends the food client back to the homepage.
The reason for this is that the button may be published on multiple pages on the restaurant website and we would have to implemented a check to see from where the food client originates. This would add some complexity to the widget which is why we will not add this in our near future roadmap.
Hey there! Did you disconnect and reconnect the account and the problem still persists? If you are still having problems go to gloriafood.com and start a chat and we can troubleshoot the problem together.
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up. The warnings are correct, they are displayed if the web admin has php warnings settings enabled, but it does not affect the functionality of the ordering widget.
We will remove those warnings on our next plugin release, however at this time we don’t have a time frame for this release.
Therefore in order to hide the respective warning, we would suggest to disable the respective warnings temporarily, as this will not affect the functionality of the widget.
Hello,
Once you have signed up for a partner account within our system and have been approved as a partner you will be able to sign up restaurants within your partner account, help them set up the online ordering system and menu and have the ordering widget published on a website.
You can publish the ordering widget on the restaurant’s own website or your own portal type website if that is what you wish to do.
For more details and help on this topic, we highly recommend to use the live chat tool within the right lower corner of your partner admin panel.
