Yes, I set up “books”, “music” and “recipes” as categories, and they are located in a page specific to them (let’s say “Morocco”).

But no I did not use the Categories sidebar widget because it’s not page specific, as from what I understand I can set it up on the main page, but not on a specific page, is that correct? To set this menu up, I used a plug in which allowed me to set up a menu specific to a page, but it does not work with categories.. I researched similar plugins for categories but so far could not find anything.. Ideally, I would love those categories to show on the page (“Morocco”) as horizontal tabs that always stay there, regardless which category you’re on, but I am not sure at this point if that is even possible.. and no, unfortunately, they cannot be part of the main menu tab as it lists general continents (“Africa”, “Asia”, etc.)..

Thank you so much for the assistance!

Thank you very much Adam! I was actually able to create the sidebar menu for the first level (i.e. individual countries). However I am now struggling with the second. What I am trying to do is to create a page with a menu of category pages, for example:
    page – Morocco
    category 1- Books
    category 2 – Music
    category 3 – recipes
    etc.
I can add the sidebar category menu to the parent page (Morocco); however once you click on the category page (let’s say ‘Books’), the individual category page does not list the menu (i.e. the rest of the categories – Music, Recipes, etc.). So if I need to switch to another category, I would have to use the “back” button, instead of clicking on the customized menu. Can you please advise if this is possible to create? I am new to WP, and I am building my first website… Thanks again!
