Ah-hah! I disabled the plugins and reactivated them one by one and it turns out it was WP-SpamFree that was stopping the pages from loading. Also a login checker was slowing the site down.

Wouldn’t the page.php file have been replaced when I changed the theme?

It turns out this works fine in Chrome but not in Firefox. Must be a problem on my end.

Thank you so much for you reply. I just ran the new update but I was still having the same problem. I disabled and re-enabled the plugin, and how Mashshare has completely disappeared from my posts.

I checked that setting you highlighted and it’s a list saying:
Disable Share Options Meta Box
Administrator
Editor
Author
Contributor

There are no options to do anything with this list. Your example showed an “x” beside Disable Share Options Meta Box, mine does not.

Never mind! It turns out the plugin is working fine, I just had one image with a hard coded link, for absolutely no good reason! I edited the HTML and removed the old url.
