THANK YOU OutdoorsWriter and MrBeta! You reign supreme! Your simple solution of setting Firefox to allow web pages to choose their own fonts took care of the issue for me! MrBeta, I had no idea these were actually fonts, not icons!

Thanks for the response. However, when I went to the dashboard from a second physical location and computer (but using Firefox in both places) it was working just fine. Therefore it must have something to do with my browser settings at the first location. Maybe some kind of cacheing issue.

Interestingly, when I used MSIE 8 (which WP says is obsolete and that I should upgrade that browser), the icons are again missing.

I have a similar problem after doing the upgrade to 3.8 in that all my dashboard icons are gone. Fortunately, the dashboard menus still work, but it’s just all the little icons that are not there. Anyone else having this problem?

UPDATE: I accessed the site from a different computer and location and it all works. I guess it must be something about my computer. Just look away, look away …

And for me as well. It seems to be well and truly broken by the 3.3 upgrade.

Same problem for me. Login screen looks fine but the register screen has a white overlay. Plugin useless ’til fixed.

OK, the problem was SimplePress forum. It puts the math question on the main WordPress registration form, which is not part of SimplePress. I guess that’s what led me astray. In SimplePress go to ManageComponents –> Login/Registration –> User Registration Box, Uncheck the ‘Use Spam Tool on Registration Form’ and the math question will go away.

I have the same problem, I have the “Math Required” question on the registration page, and I want to get rid of it. I have tried disabling plugins and it is still there! Where is this coming from??? The only plugins I have are sidebar login and SimplePress forum.
