Moreover, upon trying to go to the proces a second time, I receive the following notification when trying to optimize SEO data in SEO ? Tools: “Oops, something has gone wrong and we couldn’t complete the optimization of your SEO data. Please click the button again to re-start the process.”

This message keeps popping up.

@devnihil Thanks for pointing that out to me. I’m now somewhat puzzled about why the https://stropellets.be/nl/blog-nl/ page is listed in https://stropellets.be/post-sitemap.xml, whereas the https://stropellets.be/fr/blog-fr/ page (which is the related French translation of that page) is listed in https://stropellets.be/page-sitemap.xml

@onlyincebu I just noticed that one of my pages (https://stropellets.be/nl/blog-nl/) is missing in the XML sitemap. I have checked Yoast settings but everything appears to be properly set. Do you have any idea what might eb the reason for this? Is there a way to check/correct this in Yoast SEO?

@onlyincebu Thanks for your feedback. I have meanwhile removed these pages from sitemaps and submitted the URL’s for validation in Google Search Console. Now awaiting their confirmation.

What I do not understand, however, is why Google’s very own Search Console marks this as an error, because I have no doubt that their AI is capable to identify the nature of such pages.

@aahulsebos Thank you for your reply, it crossed mine ?? Indeed, caching was the problem.

Okay, it appear to have been a cache issue. I use WP Rocket to handle this. After removing the cache for all languages everything now seems to be back to normal.

I also notice that the cookie banner now shows the NL translation on the FR pages as well. Although all translations for both NL and FR are correctly set in String Translations.

I can’t put my finger on it right away, but I have the impression that it has to do with the language settings. I have a bilingual website (NL standard, FR second language). At first sight the problem does not seem to occur on the FR pages, but only on the NL pages.

Thanks for your tips, problem solved. Apparently the string that I searched for deviated somewhat from the original string.

I prefer to use different forms for each language. Thats more easy to setup and you can use additional fields etc

I already have created separate contact forms for each language. But these ‘Consented’ and ‘Not consented’ textstrings are not translated in either language.
