thanks for your help.

after deactivating member-access I could install nextgen Gallery 2.0 without causing a sitecrash.

I had addionally to deactivate Highslide plugin to get back Access to my admin mouseover menu entries.

correct in last line there was an useless <div>
deleted and it works!

in wp-admin you may go to
appearance->editor-> under templates select your used template->click on footer.php to open the file in editor. and finally search for 1978 to 2011 … and finally update file…

before editing copy content of your file to an textexditor on you computer… so in worst case you can recover your footer.php

addon: since I uninstalled the plugin “Browser Window Stats” the header-image-slider plugin seems to work perfect.
