In reply to: [Mihdan: Ajax Edit Comments] Not Working in WPtouch Pro Mobile SiteSo we removed the wp_mobile plugin/theme so this is no longer an issue.
But….do you have any suggestions for making this work well with W3 Total Cache? It seems like many users get to edit comments for others instead of themselves, and this issue appeared when we began using W3 total Cache.
Forgot to say, I did research this issue and the old issue says wait for a new version; that fix clearly didn’t fix this issue (which is plugin-related, not theme-)

In reply to: [Countdown Timer Ultimate] Timer Display in Mobile Site is Hard to ReadETA: The comment quoted above was for Android, Chrome.
Also, the desktop site works fine for both iOS and Android, it’s when the timer is in the mobile theme that this issue appears.
So access the site on a mobile device (depending on your device screen, you may need to scroll to the bottom of the page to switch from Desktop View to Mobile View)
We have a very active anonymous commenter community and they sometimes get stuck in moderation, often due to trigger words or too many URLs.
We release them but it can be hours later so new posts and conversations are active. Users like being notified that their “missing comment” was released so that they can point folks back to that original conversation and the comment that others can now see.
It really seems like something that should be built into WordPress, to be honest, but since your great system does so much in the comment arena, I thought this might be an extra feature that would make it even better!

In reply to: www.sitenname.com/page/ links do not work??I meant to get back sooner, but it was an issue with the theme and some parameters causing bizarre behavior.
Thanks for the help

In reply to: [@Reply Two] Any chance of this working without nested comments?Sorry to confuse!
WpDiscuz also requires threaded comments for their reply to work but since the site owner and users emphatically don’t want threaded, I’m trying to take advantage of WpDiscuz’s other capabilities while preserving the non-threaded comments with a reply function.

In reply to: [@Reply Two] Any chance of this working without nested comments? Thanks for the answer!
I was using @reply which somehow does this because we are running it on our production site and it works without threaded comments being on.
See https://www.balloon-juice.com/2016/02/24/good-news-everybody-32/
But for reasons beyond me, it doesn’t when we use WpDiscuz (which like yours, does require threaded comments), so I had hoped yours would be my savior since it’s been updated much more recently!
Oh well, thanks again for the response.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] No reply button?Thank you very much for your response, I was afraid of that answer.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] No reply button? One more question since it’s topical!
We need comments without nesting, but with comment numbers and the @reply Twitter-like links as shown in the live site: https://www.balloon-juice.com/2016/02/24/good-news-everybody-32/
Do you think this will be possible with WPDiscuz without me having to do major re-engineering (which I am not skilled enough to do, having looked at your code).

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] No reply button?Oh thanks. FYI, we don’t want nested comments.
I’m going to hack in the @reply functionality into WPDiscuz because it allows for non-nested comments and to reply and have a link to the original comment.
I’d love to see that simple functionality in the product and not have to hack it in, but my users are set in their ways and the site owner hates nested comments.
Thanks for the answer!

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Text Editor (text tools) support for commentsI just posted a question in the pre-sales section for the emoticon add-on, but I fear we’re out of luck. I have a plugin called Basic Comment Quicktags, but it doesn’t work with WpDiscuz. I’ll let you know what I hear!

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Text Editor (text tools) support for commentsI was afraid of that and I suspect that it’s not in the paid add-on as it would show up in their screenshot! It really bugs me – I see the buttons I need in the form I am using to type this comment in, but the main product doesn’t have them! ??

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Text Editor (text tools) support for commentsSelenii,
I am about to load this onto my test server to see for myself, but I have a question – did you purchase the emoticon add-on, or are you just looking at the new version without the add-on?Forum: Fixing WordPress
