@lucaspedr0 Were you able to solve this issue?
Sascha,
Sorry to let you know that at the moment, we were not able to add the feature to close the popup on pressing
esc
becuase it requires user keypress tracking of every key, which may slows down the performance of typing anything on your site. Thanks
@jordiroon We fixed the bug in the latest version, please update and let us know if you are still having the issue. Thanks
Could be a cache issue. Can you please follow these steps:
1. Clear the Hummingbird cache and see if the popup is disabled.
2. If not, try disabling the Hummingbird plugin and see if its gone, if it is, enable the plugin again.
3. If the popup still shows, try disabling Brave and then enable it again. Thanks
Are you sure its not the the current popup? Are you using any cache plugin?
I have removed the font-family styling via the editor in order to test, if the font will be inherited, which is the preferred behaviour.
Sorry to say we cannot by default let the popup inherit styles from the theme or other plugins as the chance of breaking the style increases tremendously. We are already seeing some issues with default WordPress themes that changes the font size, line height etc, which breaks the style of the popup and it makes the popup look different than what you see on the popup editor.
For your case, you can simply, change the font family of your element to Comic Sans.
As for the popup re-appearing issue, Please go to the Popup’s Settings tab from top and scroll down to bottom and first check the last option that says “Do Not Show the Popup again for 30 days if the user closed the popup 2 times” option. Then change the number 2 to 1.
And we will try to implement an option to close the popup on
esc
button in the next version.Thanks
@jordiroon This is the bug we were talking about earlier. This is the bug we are going to fix in the next version. Thanks.
@jordiroon Just subscribed, can you please check your Mailchimp list?
And We would suggest you to position the popup on bottom right corner of the page, instead of the center to make it more noticeable.
Thanks
@jordiroon It is a small bug, that sends the email even if the subscription process goes smoothly. We will fix that in the next version.
The Subscription process works fine. If you want, we can subscribe to your newsletter for test purpose. Let us know your site address where the popup is visible and we will subscribe and you can confirm that the popup’s subscription process does indeed work.
Thanks
@jordiroon So the issue is the integration works fine and the email is added in Mailchimp but you still get the automated email? or is the integration not working?
Thanks
Thank You so much for the recommendations ??
Many Thanks ?? ??
If you still find other responsiveness issue. Please feel free to reply to this thread. Thanks.
Yes
567px
is not an unusual height. Did you refresh the page after resizing the window? In my previous comment, I stated the issue of the popup being cut off from top/bottom. But I tried again and resized the window to
1017px x 470px
and refresh the page, and the popup was displayed in full and the issue was not there. We will try to recreate your popup and run some tests and hopefully find all the issues and solve them. Thanks.
Ok. So looks like the issue is that the popup’s top/bottom is being cut off. As the height of the window is quite small.
Although the window size is quite unusual and a real life device won’t have. We will try to make the popups responsive even on that dimension in the next version.
Is that the only window size that you had issue with?
Thanks
@jenzgaard Just checked with Chrome in the mentioned dimensions and we are seeing the mobile version: https://i.imgur.com/2AEd7aW.png
Are you sure the dimension is correct. To get the exact dimension, trypressing ctrl+shift+i and this will open up the browser developer console. Then resize the window and browser will show you the dimension on top right corner.
And another tip, If you alreadty didn’t know, when the developer mode is active, you can click the “Mobile Icon” beside the “Elements” tab to emulate how your site looks in mobile.
