In reply to: [Gutenberg] How to reduce space between lines of text on the homepageHi @asterix786,
Looks like there’s been no response here so I’m going to close this one out.
I trust you managed to find a fix you needed.

I’m concerned whether it won’t present any issues for me, because I need to update my homepage, and the last time I did that untested (using Classic Editor and then Gutenberg), I lost all the coding below the changes made.
If you are concerned then I would recommend creating a Staging site and performing the update there. Once you are happy you can then run the update on the Production site.
I’m on WP 5.8.1 currently. Was 11.4.1 the update intended to solve also my problem, and how could it have been installed without any action of mine?
You may have auto updates enabled for the Gutenberg Plugin. If you don’t want this to happen click “Disable Auto-Update” on the Plugins screen next to the Gutenberg Plugin.
Do I you think I better roll back to Gutenberg 9.5.0 please, just to be safe from any poor coding that might be indise 11.4.1 that I can’t know about?
I’m not able to reliably or accurately answer that question. It sounds very much like you need to setup a Staging website and then you can experiment with enabling different versions of Gutenberg until you find one you are happy is stable with the Plugins that are you using (one of which is likely causing the error you are experiencing).
In your situation I would turn off auto updates and update manually on Staging, test and verify, and only then would I run the updates on Production.
I’m understandably concerned, but need some Gutenberg version to work reliably with my plugin array…
It’s highly likely that one of your Plugins is not working with Gutenberg. Ultimately, the many/most of the features in the Gutenberg Plugin will become part of WP Core at some point. Therefore the Plugins you use will need to be updated to conform to be compatible with Gutenberg.
I wonder why the leading block editor is relying on unpaid volunteers then instead of (?) a professional team as other plugins do.
It’s understandable you might ask this question. However, the Gutenberg Plugin is not a commercial product. Rather it is feature Plugin for elements that will eventually become part of the editor in WordPress Core. Therefore you can think of it as akin to WordPress (ie: free, Open Source software created by a community). WordPress is not “owned” like many commercial builders. Lots more context and info is available at:

I hope that is helpful?

I hope you managed to contact the authors of the AMP Plugin and they were able to help you.
If you’re still having trouble and it’s a Gutenberg specific issue, then please don’t hesitate to open a new ticket.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] List formatting inside Gutenberg block?Hi @edhomex,
Sorry to hear you’ve been struggling.
Unfortunately this isn’t a use case that the editor has yet been able to address. I appreciate that’s probably not what you want to hear, but there are many competing priorities and it hasn’t yet been addressed.
One option you have is looking into the Format API to register your own list format.
To quote from the docs
…a format is a HTML tag with text-level semantics
Other than that I would recommend looking for Plugins that have solved this problem. I’m not personally aware of one, but there could be an option out there if the Format API doesn’t work out for you.
Lastly, if there’s a feature you feel is missing from the editor I would encourage you to consider raising an Issue in the Github repo or raising it in the Core Editor chat that happens every week.
I hope that helps a little?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Enfold vs Guttenberg CompatibilityHi @mollyhill
There’s some good information here from Gutenberg Times on how to customize the editor.
There’s also the Gutenberg docs which provide info on some of the topics you mentioned.
i can’t figure out how to enable full width without the blocks sticking hard on the edge, how do i add padding?
Are you able to provide a specific example of a block you’re struggling with? You can even copy all your blocks and paste them here so I can replicate more easily. We could then try to assist you.
Look forward to hearing back from you.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Need help – Gutenberg theme developmentHi @tatof
I am a developer that developed 100+ WordPress websites with my own custom theme. I really would like to go to gutenberg but I just dont understand how you can develope a full website with this editor.
It sounds like you are experienced. Great work!
I get the whole gutenberg freedom editor thing but it is really pointed to “blogging”. Are there other professionals here who can give me tips on how to make this doable and actualy good for the client?
I believe that it’s far more than blogging. I agree that attempting to build a complex page from low level blocks can be challenging for a client.
I would recommend you look into Block Patterns. These allow you to predefine groups of preconfigured blocks which your client can pick from to construct a page.
In general, I’d advise giving yourself time to learn about the new capabilities of the editor in depth. I’ll ask around to see if we can get some good learning resources posted for you here.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Is there a block for social sharing?Hi @henrywright.
Gutenberg Core doesn’t currently provide this out of the box. If you think it would be a good addition then you could comment on this open Issue which is requested it:
https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/25027
However, I imagine there are many block Plugins that will provide the functionality you need. That’s the beauty of WordPress.
To access these you can open the block inserter and search for social. You will see a section called “Available to install” and should be able to install these 3rd party blocks directly from the editor.

I’m not recommending any block or Plugin in particular but I’m 99% sure you’ll find one to suit your needs.
Does that help?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Newest Update Broke Widgets in DashboardHi @nwvitals.
I just updated to Gutenberg 11.5.0 using Twenty Twenty One theme. When I switch to Widgets screen there are no errors.
However, it’s perfectly possible you have a particular set up which is allowing an error to manifest.
I’d like to see if we can get to the bottom of this.
Please could you:
* Post error messages you are seeing.
* Open developers tools and post any errors shown in the Console. Then also using a staging site (not your production site)
* Deactivate all other Plugins (except Gutenberg). Does the error still happen?
* Reactive Plugins one by one to see if you can identify if one causes the error to occur. If we can identify the issue we should be able to determine whether a fix is needed.
Much appreciated.
