That makes sense. I already set one up in a page and it works great. But how do I add the Elementor button widget to the footer? It is not available in the Customizer.

Yes, it’s a bit odd. Jumped through all the memory and plugin deactivation hoops to no avail. But clearing the browser cache makes sense. I restarted my computer with this in mind after posting in this thread earlier but nothing changed…immediately. Then while working on a page layout the edit functions suddenly popped on, literally while arranging elements. No idea how or why. Hope it lasts!

@groenp01 The edit functions started working again after I updated Javascript on my MacBook. However, the problem returned late yesterday. Only two changes occurred in the environment, which could be significant: the latest version of WordPress was installed automatically and I installed the latest update for the Oceanwp theme. I reset the memory limit and checked other parameters. Still no luck.

Any breakthrough for you?
