  • I don’t have an answer for you, but if you don’t get an answer here, try Sitepoint.com – they have a Just Starting Out Forum – I don’t think you have to have bought something from them or not – the guys there are great – and their reference books are pretty terrific, too. They also have a WordPress forum for people trying to program WordPress sites. Best of Luck.

I don’t have any plugins because it is now a brand new installation – don’t I have to have been able to log into the site to have active plugins? (I actually don’t know the answer to this)

I have Bluehost.com and they say they are compatible as far as php and MySQL.

It seems to me that the theme that errored out must have changed something so that WordPress doesn’t get loaded when I call up that blog – I don’t know where to look – help, please, and thank you, tcbarrett for trying to help me.

I probably wouldn’t be the one to help you, but you are going to need to give some additional information, like does your site look normal? Are you getting an error message? Did you pick a theme that doesn’t have a login link on the face of it? I am guessing that you didn’t just forget your password, but please give us more of an idea of what is going on. Thanks.

I had a theme that errored out upon installation. I went in thru cPanel and deleted that theme – wound up with a blank page. I tried over-riding the problem by re-installing WordPress – installing the newer WordPress 3.2.1, and instructing Filezilla to overwrite the existing files. I still have a blank page when I go to that blog.

What am I not doing correctly?

    Thanks,

    Jeannie
