Thanks for your advice.

After some more investigation, it seems like you’re right. I didn’t think it would be the WooCommerce plugin because neither was my last issue, I just thought I’d cover all bases.

A ticket has been logged with the WooZone support team and I will continue to troubleshoot myself.

I’d like to leave this ticket open a day or so longer if I may, just to see if any community users might have some experience fixing a similar issue.

OK, so the issue is now resolved, my products have stayed put and nothing moved to trash.

To reiterate, the solution is found in:

WooZone>Config>Bug Fixes>General & Amazon and then go to the “Put amazon products in the trash when syncing after:” option and set to “Never”.

Now I’m having an issue where all of my links take me to “Amazon..co.uk”, with two dots after Amazon that make the link unreachable. Goody.

I’m now going to close this as resolved, thank you all a bunch for your help!

I was wrong, seems like it is WooZone that was causing the problem. My staging site products are all still there, including the ones that I added manually.

I have tried Franco’s suggestion and will keep my fingers crossed that it will be solved. Thanks for your assistance and suggestions.

One thing to note is that, after the products were restored, it seemed like my WooCommerce shortcodes weren’t working on posts. A quick cache clear has fixed this and my site is fully operational as it was before the issue started.

After tomorrow, if my products have not been deleted, I will close the issue as resolved. Thanks, guys.

I’m fairly certain that it isn’t WooZone causing the issue because my products stayed put before the WooCommerce database update I did a week or so ago.

In fact, this issue has only ever occurred since after the WooCommerce database update, never happened beforehand.

It’s almost like there is a Cron-Job that is periodically moving my products into the trash.

Your suggestion has been noted and I am currently taking my products out of trash on the staging site with all plugins disabled except WooZone and WooCommerce (WooZone is needed or products do not load correctly). I’m also adding some new products via the method you suggested to see if these products stay or not.

If the issue continues, I will disable WooZone as a final test and see what happens.

I see, perhaps they saw mention of WooZone and thought that was causing the issue.

I will certainly try troubleshooting on a staging site as you mentioned once I get back round to sorting the site out.

Forgot to mention that this all started after a WooCommerce Database update. I have been in touch with WooCommerce but it seems my support with them has expired and I am too broke to renew it.

Managed to fix the issue. Did a fresh install and imported all of the backups I had made in WordPress export before my problems started.

Because the database was new, many of my images weren’t showing in the media library, which became another major problem.

After some scouring the forums I managed to resolve this by exporting only the wp_postmeta and wp_posts tables from the old DB, dropping them both from the fresh DB, and then importing the .XML file with the two new wp_postmeta and wp_posts tables.

Now I have all my posts, images are showing correctly, and my site is back to the same state that it was before all this started. I did have to import the WordPress menu backup a second time as the setting in the DB messed up my menus, but after that, I’m back to normal.

My takeaways are:

• Always take backups. WPress backups, database backups, wp-content backups etc.
• If you’re not sure what you’re doing, don’t do it. Especially with databases
• Don’t overwrite backups with newer ones, just in case. Name them something else (I just add a number at the end).
• If you get frustrated after doing tons of research without getting anywhere, take a day or two off and let your research float around for a bit and form new approaches. Don’t try working tirelessly day and night rushing to fix it, you’ll get really bad tunnel vision

The login page itself is fine, I am able to enter my credentials and gain access to the backend. It’s my dashboard page that is returning the 404 error.

I will try your solution anyway to see if it makes a difference.
