got it solved.

had to select “Enable template files found in the /views folder”, even though it was a fresh install, not an upgrade.

hope it helps other people.

i’d love a response to this too. i find mr. linky to be undesirable, simply because i don’t like having to modify my template for the script.

the same hackers got to one of the sites i help maintain.

the corruption was in the wp-cache config file.

delete it and get a security scanning plugin.
