    Hi Josie,
    Host claims they’ve upped our limits but only change I can find is max file size 256MB. Time limits still show as 60 seconds. I’ve written back for clarification. Needless to say it’s made no difference. They want us to upgrade to VPS, (for 10 or so files per year).
    One thing I do notice is that the EW, once download is initiated, does manage to provide a complete zip file even though the actual download fails.
    Another thing is that I’m probably mostly responsible for the whole problem in the first place as I loaded up all our forthcoming seasons forms without adding a max file to the appropriate layout. Unfortunately several eager beavers have already submitted images. Does that mean I can’t retrospectively add a limit as I could screw things up for what’s already there?
    Thanks for your consistently ace support, Eugene

    Hi Josie,
    Cant see debug files in the path you mention.
    I’ve also submitted a support ticket with UK2. If they ever answer I’ll ask them to look at memory, as well as time limits if that could be anything to do with it.
    Yes, it happens to everybody in similar fashion.
    Can’t understand why sometimes “trying again” brings success, unless it’s 70MB or so in which case it’s “…fire off an email to Eugene, can’t get images again”.
    Thanks anyway for your usual prompt support. I’ll let you know what UK2 says.

    Thanks so much for your support. Unfortunately, after following the link, I found that almost all of it went straight over my head.
    Guess I’ll just have to post-publish quick edit untill a fix gets built into the core. BTW current page count 209.
    Thanks again for your time and advice.

    If you spent less time posting fake reviews you may have more time to answer customer queries.
    BTW, it’s your grammar that gives you away.

    Thank you for getting back to me, seams all it took was a nudge ??
    Love the gallery BTW.

    Thanks to both for your responses. They where a great help.
    One of our editors is going to start sending out the list of titles to members giving them 24hrs to inform us if their images isn’t listed.
    Thanks again,
    Eugene

    Thanks cdvideo for the tip. Well worth including for the future.
    However the issue we have is the absence of images that are claimed to have been uploaded but aren’t shown anywhere. I’m looking for a way to check/record time of closing form so those who say “why isn’t my image in lineup?” can be advised accordingly.
    I know there is an option to automatically close a comp at a set time but some of our editors keep wanting to extend the deadline.
    Guess I’ll just have to start writing stuff down ??
    Cheers,
    Eugene.

    Have you ever been wandering around Asda for ages looking for something only to find, when you ask a staff member, that you’re stood right next to it?
    That’s how I feel right now ??
    Thank you so much for your prompt reply, you’re a star.
    Cheers,
    Eugene.

    Thanks for that. I already have USP but that doesn’t do what I need. I think I’ll give the developer a nudge though and see if he has any advise. You never know.
    Thanks again.
    Eugene.

    Hi Pascal,
    Many thanks for the fix, did the edit via cPanel and all is well again now though I thought the debug tool was to help identify problems when the occur.
    At least now I can see who is doing what subscription wise.
    BTW I’d have been in touch sooner only I forgot to subscribe to my own topic so thought you hadn’t answered yet. Oops!
    Perhaps your plug-in should be part of the WP support system ??
    Thanks again for sorting this out.
    Cheers,
    Eugene.

    Cheers Josie,
    That didn’t work either…until I deleted some inadvertently inserted white space before the new line of text (my fault).
    Now all three download options work fine albeit slowly, as you suggested, especially using Chrome. Go figure.
    Thanks again for your help and support.
    Best wishes,
    Eugene

    Hi Josie,
    Many thanks for the fix but unfortunately it didn’t work the error message stays the same. I’m assuming the js should look like this now:

    “use strict”;
    var ajaxurl;
    var popupN; // used for id of popup

    jQuery(document).ready(function() {
    init_ewz_webforms();
    });
    var ewzG, ewzG1;
    ewzG.canzip = false;
    /* toggle visibility of hideable controls in the same form */

    If there is to be a new version in the next couple of weeks I can take over file management in the interim (unless of course you can think of something else ?? )
    Thanks again,
    Eugene

    Hi Josie,
    Many thanks for your typically prompt reply. I’d have been in touch sooner only a tech at my host managed, via doing a couple of php tweaks, to kill my site altogether. Now that one of his colleagues has managed to fix those issues I’m back more or less where I started.
    The only real difference is that now the error message displays as thus:
    Warning: popen() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/conwycam/public_html/wp-content/plugins/entrywizard/classes/ewz-webform.php on line 557
    *** EntryWizard ERROR ***
    Zip command failed

    I have included a screen grab of line 557 in case it helps. If I had an email address I could send the file complete if needed.
    Screen Grab
    The only other clue is that my host states they updated Apache a couple of days ago, and maybe changes to security could be the problem.
    I can confirm that the message appears almost immediately and happens on all current and previous webforms. Even those with only 2 images, which are by default under 1MB each.

    For the current comps, I’ve harvested the images via ftp but that isn’t really a long-term solution as those charged with comp secretary duties are not amongst those best placed to work this way.
    Hope this issue can be resolved. The committee have been spoiled rotten by the enormous benefits of using your plugin and are reluctant to go back to old ways.
    Thanks again for your continued support.
    Best wishes,
    Eugene.

    Hi Andrew,
    Brown trouser moment resolved. Renamed plugins to pluginsold via ftp and this resulted in three errors from w3 total cache. Restored name for plugin directory and renamed the 3 php files mentioned in error messages. I then had a message to update database to latest version, crossed fingers and said yes.
    All appears to be hunky dory now and new versions of the 3 php files appeared by magic.
    Thanks very much for you guidance, much appreciated. BTW am I correct in thinking I can safely delete the 3 php files that I renamed?
    Thanks again,
    Eugene
