In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Access to full post not intuitiveHi Ian,
Many thanks for your reply.
The bit in the notes entitled “How To Add A “Continue Reading” Link To Excerpts” seam to be what I’m looking for but don’t know how to implement it. Is it a cut/paste job? And if so where do I put it.
Thanks again.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Add thumbnail image to news item synopsisMany thanks for your advice and guidance George. Very much appreciated.
At least we have a thumbnail now.

In reply to: Add thumbnail image to news item synopsisThanks George. I never thought of using a small image as a “Featured Image” I works fine as per [ redundant link removed ]
Next Question. I really wanted it left aligned to the summary text to show more posts per screen. Is that possible?
Thanks again for your previous advice.
Cheers,

Hi Kris,
changed from address as per your suggestion and now (at last) all recipients listed are getting their messages.
Thanks for your continued support.
Regards,
EugeneThanks so much Kris,
Once I realized I had to also complete the e-mail and conditions as well as the recipients it worked like a charm.
Easy peasy ??
Cheers,
EugeneAppears it’s an issue with mail-gun.
Will speak to our IT wizard.

Eugene.Hi Dimitris,
Huge thanks for your prompt reply. I wasn’t using AJAX but have now chosen that option but alas it makes no difference. There was a google map embedded into the page which I thought may be the culprit but removing that made no difference either.
I checked the page using GTmetrix.com and the only significant issue with the page (Med-High) relates to the elimination of render blocking resources, with several references to Forminator files. I don’t pretend to understand this stuff much but it maybe a clue?
One thing I didn’t mention is that the site is still in development and as yet we have no smtp server for Forminator to talk to. Could that be a possible cause?
Thanks again for your support so far, much appreciated,
Regards, Eugene.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Give users access to their admin area without toolbarCheers but I get that. For now I’ve added a custom link to the menu pointing to
/wp-admin which opens the admin relevant to who I’ve logged in as.
I just thought the site admin was there by default. Maybe it was in the theme I used last time around.
Thanks for your prompt response, much appresiated.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [EntryWizard] Compatability with other platforms?Thank you so much for your usual swift response.
We do now have a resident proper developer who reads and wrights PHP (unlike me who can’t even spell it). I just thought I’d ask to save him having to re-invent the wheel.
Thanks again and very best wishes.
Eugene. Please ignore. I rebuilt the page and now appears to show as intended.
Thanks anyway.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: User logs in and is sent to their admin not home pageHi James,
Thanks for that but and have since fixed with Peter’s Login Redirect.
The weird thing is our site has been sending users back to home page since I build site 4/5yrs ago. I’ve recently binned our forums (no body used them) so can only assume that I’ve also binned whatever I did in the first place to redirect to home page. Sort of “baby out with the bathwater”. Binned about seven associated plugins along with bbPress so that was probably what caused the problem.
Thanks for you help anyway,
Cheers and stay safe,
Eugene.Thank you for your response but I think I’ll stick of FileZilla for FTP and show selected few how to use it.
Cheers,
EugeneHuge thanks for all your help Josie.
UK2 have made amendments as suggested but to no avail as yet.
Guess it’s just the nature of the beast that is PHP.
Will show selected bods the finery of FileZilla.
Thanks again and best wishes,
