Hey thanks M Asif Rahman! would I just do that rel=”amphtml” markup in the head section under Site Appearance > Custom CSS page > Custom Scripts </head> section? Or just go to the Text editor (vs visual editor) of my homepage and insert that rel=”amphtml” tag there?
I’m using the plugin to create the AMP, so I’m not sure if the plugin should add that tag, or if I need to add it.
Apologies for newbie questions. Thanks a bunch!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize HTML compression working?I got it. Took a risk and just copy/pasted the page source itself. That did it! Thanks!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize HTML compression working? Thanks! I had found that jonassebastianohlsson.com generator before, but couldn’t get it to work correctly, possibly because i’m on a mac, but it could also be because I wasn’t entering the correct code. I’ve unminified my HTML, just in case that needs to be done. When I view the source code though, I don’t have a text/css link that gets me to the css, so I’m not sure where to go from there. I know how to access the style.css via the editor in Appearance, but it looks nothing like what the video shows.
Apologies if I’m asking for a bit too much help with this; the video does make it look easy, but I cannot find what looks like the css code. I think once I have that, I’ll be all set.
Little info I also neglected to include in original post that you ask for at bottom of FAQ:
I’m using the Karma for WordPress theme.I’m using Yoast SEO plugin as well, and CloudFlare CDN plugin.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize HTML compression working?Ah yes, I remember this inline and defer . . . pulled my hair out trying to figure out what should go in the box. I see some other plugins that you list–would any of those get me close? I have absolutely no idea at all how to figure out what to put in that box, and from what I understand, it can be extremely difficult to learn that.
Plugin a better option?

In reply to: [Autoptimize] PageSpeed/GTmetrix warning about above fold blocking. After playing with endless combinations of check boxes being checked, I think I have found the best combo so far (just in case this comes up, it may help another user). An X means “checked box”, O means “not checked”:
*note: regarding CDN options–filling this in gets rid of my images, but my homepage is not my blog page.HTML Options
Optimize HTML Code? X
Keep HTML comments? OJavaScript Options
Optimize JavaScript Code? X
Force JavaScript in <head>? O
Also aggregate inline JS? X
Exclude scripts from autoptimize: I just left this as is
Add try-catch wrapping? OCSS Options
Optimize CSS Code? X
Generate data: URIs for images? X
Remove Google Fonts? X (I don’t use them)
Also aggregate inline CSS? O
Inline and Defer CSS? O
Inline all CSS? X
Exclude CSS from Autoptimize: I left this as isCDN Options
CDN Base URL: Left blank until I find out how to do this so it doesn’t leave my images blankCache Info
Cache folder: should be prepopulated for you
Can we write? Yes
Cached styles and scripts should be prepopulated
Save aggregated script/css as static fiels? XI hope this helps you help some other folks out . . . if you see any of these settings that I could change to improve further, please let me know.
Thanks again for the plugin. Wish I would have found it a few weeks ago!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] PageSpeed/GTmetrix warning about above fold blocking. Thanks for the super fast response!
Unfortunately, that seems to make it worse as I now get “Your page has 2 blocking CSS resources.” as opposed to 1; although these are for CSS instead, so it’s different. I have no idea why fixing JS would create an issue with CSS, but I’m fairly new to all this. They are:
https://gatehealing.com/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_4cdbba36b5c9a4ed38105419073bead5.cssFingers crossed that it’s just another check box to change!
Jon
***EDIT*** I’ve tried changing the checkboxes in a few configurations, including where they were before, and I’m still getting 2 render blocking notices now, so it may not be anything with your suggestion. I am using CloudFlare CDN, but I don’t know if that would cause this.***2nd EDIT*** And now the js render blocking message is back, but only for desktop version??

Much appreciated feedback.

I have same question. When I type /?amp it does show a page, so it seems to be there, but Google Webmaster Tools > Search Appearance > Accelerated Mobile Pages says they don’t find any AMP’s on my site (all pages, except some gallery posts that I’m not worried about for now).

In reply to: Problem loading page. Connection was resetIt is happening in Chrome as well. But the onscreen message is something like No Data Returned. But it still will not load anything.

In reply to: Problem loading page. Connection was resetWell, nevermind. I’m getting the error again. What’s odd is everything was fine until last night. Both with or without plugins activated, and with or without the Webroot addon.
Going nuts now.
