In reply to: How to change scroll speedHi there,
I’ve just sort it out. I swear I did RTFM but just miss it. The answer is in the comment section of the plugin author:
in the plug-in js file find the line
setTimeout(“cas_scroll();”, 10);
setTimeout(“cas_scroll();”, 2000);
and update that number to increase or decrease the speed of the scroll.

I’m wondering if you have been able to logon to my site. As far as I know, it is running normally. Thanks!

In reply to: Want to get rid of some text in "Pages"I’m using the Simplicity theme by Lai Zit Seng and have downloaded it directly from WordPress Themes. I have looked at Comments.php but can’t find the text (my knowledge of coding is very limited). Could you give me some directions?

In reply to: Using a block quote in my taglineHi,
Is there anybody out there who has a clue as to how I can solve this?
Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: WP GuideHi there,
I’m a ridiculously ignorant newbie, who has been trying to set up a blog using WordPress. So far, I’m being rather baffled by it. I’ve been perusing the information on WordPress Dashboard, Forum, Codex, you name it. And there are lots of information, the problem is you have to navigate incessantly through the links and pages, and because you haven’t learn/read a previous piece of information, you are constantly travelling from one link to another, like in a time loop. Does anybody know of a structured (i.e. progressively moving from the basics up to more advanced topics) manual/guide to navigate and use WordPress? It could be something published within or outside WordPress itself!
Thanks!

In reply to: Using a block quote in my taglineI’ve tried editing it via View Source but it didn’t work. I also tried editing Inspect Element and it didn’t work either. I apologise for my ignorance, this is my first attempt at working with WordPress, so any help will be very welcome.

In reply to: Using a block quote in my taglineDaisyMariposa,
This is embarrassing, but where do I find the file to write the HTML code you suggest? I tried directly on the tagline in Settings->General->Tagline but it doesn’t work.

In reply to: Using a block quote in my taglineHi DaisyMariposa,
I want to use a quote as a my tagline, say, for instance:
“Do not ask what your country can do for you,…etc.”
In the Simplicity Theme the tagline appears below the Header as a continuous, single line, as above. What I want is to edit it, so that I can center it, change the font, etc. Say,“Do not ask
what your country
can do for you…”Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Installing WordPress LocallyHi vermithrax423, thanks for your message. My blog is not running yet, I’m just trying to learn and see how WordPress formidable and beautiful capabilities work, before going “live”. So, I guess the first part of your comment doesn’t apply to me, yet. As to the second part, that’s exactly what I’m looking for; unfortunately, I know nothing about Linux, so I installed WordPress on both my computers via Wampserver 2.0 and it didn’t offer me the option you mention. Any other suggestions? Thanks again!
