Hi @stremel
Thanks for reaching out to us.
I don’t think this is something our team plans on changing, at least not anytime soon. I would actually recommend using the email validation option, as you mentioned.
There is actually a simple way you can make this change to your listings. You can accomplish this by exporting your data in bulk with a sequence ID. Then, you can add the new email field and update the exported CSV file to change the header for the email column to match the new field. Finally, reimport the data. If you need more detailed instructions, you can find them in our Knowledge Base here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-do-i-do-mass-data-changes-in-the-plugin/
Whenever doing a bulk change like this, it’s highly recommended that you test one or two listings first to ensure nothing goes wrong with the import. It will help you prepare for any surprises when handling all the listings.
I hope that helps. Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions or concerns!
Best regards,
Hi @geddi
Thanks for reaching out to us.
For full customization, if you have the necessary skills, you can customize anything in the plugin: https://awpcp.com/documentation/customization-guide/. Hooks and Filters are also covered in the guide.
If you’re not technical, you might consider hiring a developer. Unfortunately, customization is not a service we offer directly. Here are some resources that could help:
1) Tilden Tasks: https://tildentasks.com/
2) Codeable for short-term projects: https://codeable.io/
3) Upwork for a range of developers: https://upwork.com
I hope that helps. If you have any further questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out.Best regards,

Hi @abdul810
Thanks for reaching out to us.
You can achieve this by editing your email form field and changing the Field Validator option to Email Validator. You can see what this should look like here: https://prnt.sc/ncrdDLSQBMlM
If you have any issues with this, please let me know!

Hi @rosbiffer
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any integrations with any CRM at this time. Although, a few users have requested this in the past, so it is on our feature request list.
If there’s anything else I can help you with, please let me know!

Hi @skumar1st
This is a string in the plugin, so this will need to be changed in the translation files. You can learn more about that in our Knowledge Base here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/translating-bd-other-language/
Some users find that Loco Translate provides a more straightforward approach. You can just search for the word Free, add a space to the translation, and then save. We’ve also documented using Loco Translate here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/translating-business-directory-plugin-using-loco-translate/

Hi @kvetos
You may want to check your logs to see if there were any errors during the upload. It may also be worth checking the file permissions on your live server.
Another thing you can try, when you import your listings, before you press the Start Import button go to /wp-content/uploads/wpbdp-csv-imports/ and you will see a folder with random characters. Make sure your images are getting added in that folder.
Please check that and let me know!

Hi @kvetos
Could you please let me know what you are using for the image column header?

Hi @skumar1st
Unfortunately, we don’t have the option to only allow sub categories to be selected at this time.
Right now, Business Directory Plugin only supports PayPal, 2Checkout, Stripe, Authorize.net and Payfast as payment gateways. We don’t have a way to support offline payments in the plugin at this time.
As for redirecting after the thanks page, you would need to override the templates in our plugin. For more adventurous and layout-based changes, you can override templates in the plugin. This is something that requires developer skills to pull off, but if you?are interested, the documentation for that is here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/general-customization-guide/
Best regards,
Hi @skumar1st
Which page are you trying to hide the primary categories on?
As for the paid plan not showing, you will need to make sure you have a payment gateway setup in your directory settings. You can find this by going to Directory > Settings > Payment.
If you have any questions, please let me know!

Hi @skumar1st
You can use /directory for your directory without a folder. The business directory also doesn’t need to be the homepage.
You can see this website for example: https://www.cohousing.org/
They have a homepage for their website, and their directory is added here without using a folder: https://www.cohousing.org/directory/
You can edit your directory page (local-business-directory-of-india) and change the link to /directory as seen in my screenshot below.
I hope that helps!

Hi @kvetos
Thanks for reaching out to us.
To assign the listing owner during import, you can include a column in your CSV file with the header “username”. In this column, you’ll enter the username of the account that should be assigned as the owner for each listing.
I hope that helps! If you have any questions or issues with this, please let me know!

Hi @skumar1st
Thanks for reaching out to us.
To achieve this, you would need to install this on the main website. Business Directory Plugin requires a main directory page, which is also included in the URL of the listings.
The best way would be to remove the sub-directory and install the plugin on your main website. You can use “directory” for the page slug instead of “local-business-directory-of-india.”
I hope that helps! If you have any questions, please let me know!
