In reply to: Change Background Color Indicating Action NeededFor anyone who is interested, I found how to do this myself. Use your FTP program to download wp-admin/css/colors-fresh.css
Search for:#the-comment-list .unapproved td { background-color: #ffffe0;
I changed this to #ffff99, a bright yellow color that immediately lets me know a comment needs moderation.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Automatic upgrade] Whata Joke!I got a fatal error when trying to install the plugin on WP 2.5.1. Which after reading all these comments telling tales of disaster I feel fortunate that I didn’t get to go further and screw up my system. I don’t understand how it has such a high star rating.

Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Ability to make code view defaultThat looks useful samboll, but unless I don’t understand it completely, it just gives an easier way than the keyboard shortcut (shift-alt-v)to display the advanced features of the visual editor. What I want is a way to have easy access to the visual editor when I want it, but default to the code view when I first go to the write or edit page, so that the visual editor doesn’t alter the code to its liking. It destroys the embed code for Flash, youtube, google video etc. I know I could switch to the code view when writing the post, but editing an existing embeded video post is a problem.
It’s not a major thing but I think it would be a useful feature.
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Ability to make code view defaultAs useful as the visual editor is, I guess I have to keep it switched off for most of my blogging needs. But to make it easier to access it I keep a bookmark to /wp-admin/profile.php?updated=true handy.

In reply to: Comment SpamThanks HandySolo.
Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Comment SpamNo, I’ll check that out, but my moderation list is catching about 95% of them. I’m just wondering if others have noticed a marked increase in the past week, like I have. What is the likelyhood that these plugins will reject legitimate comments without me even knowing they were made?

In reply to: Why is Flickr so popular?Ha, I was expecting to see your profile when I clicked that drmike. ??
Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Why is Flickr so popular?No if you want a link back to your blog on your Flickr posting you have to add it yourself, and actually it feels a little tacky doing that without a particular reason. You can put a link to your blog in your profile. The main draw of the Flickr account for me is the social networking, and the ability to send your photos to different groups. I’ve learned a lot and met many people. Posting Flickr photos to your blog requires you to link back to Flickr with a link on each photo.
