It’s actually in basic connections that I have the App ID number and App secret code. Is it correct to have the actual App ID number there and not the public FB account ID?

Yes I am trying to do it ther Danny but there isn’t any clear way to change that number in the WP admin panel, only other parts will edit. So it’s my main facebook account ID number that’s needed, not the new one given for the app? I hope I find a way into it soon.

Hi Danny, I found that I might have used the wrong ID but now can’t find how to edit it, it only allows me to edit the secret code but not the ID, where do I need to go for that? Thanks

I followed these steps too and seemed to have success until I read the following on my home page of the website that I’m trying to link to facebook:

Fatal error: Uncaught OAuthException: (#100) Unknown fields: created_time,object_id,status_type,from,type. thrown in /home4/gaeln/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-facebook-posts/includes/facebook-php-sdk/base_facebook.php on line 1271

I’m also confused as to what to type into the other settings and App details boxes, can you please advise. The number of boxes is overwhelming and I’m not sure if they all need details.

Okay, I managed to finally start the setup process and got the ID and App Secret code but now it’s rejecting my domain even when I paste it directly from the website to ensure it’s correct. Yes it is a plug in, called Recent Facebook Posts. I am quite frustrated after trying several versions of the domain, both WP domain and facebook domain.

What is meant to be typed into the box ‘Facebook App Secret’?
