In reply to: [Simple Tooltips] Only shows 3 tooltips.. the 4th is blank..WordPress keeps removing the code “'” even from these posts!
Use the ampersand key followed by apos; and it should do the trick. If not, try the ampersand key followed by 39;

In reply to: [Simple Tooltips] Only shows 3 tooltips.. the 4th is blank..It’s probably an apostrophe. Use ' instead. I tried escaping them with backslashes but to no avail.
The ‘ character is needed to open and close the tooltip.
I have the same issue in 4.0. I can’t edit the source code unless I deactivate the plugin. I tried using Ultimate TinyMCE with the same result.
It’s a bit of bother to deactivate the plugin before editing, but I’ll put up with it until the conflict is resolved as I need both the Gallery and also be able to edit code.

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Block UsernamesI had some hacker named aerossycole try from at least 20 different IP addresses. Being able to block usernames would be a boon.

In reply to: [Limit Login Attempts] Feature Request: Block username repeatsTry WordFence. It does that along with many other useful options. You can uncheck the option to send an email for both successful and unsuccesful logins if it gets too tiresome.
I had a ton of attempts over the past 24 hours, but none broke through. It helps to have a long (at least 12 characters) meaningless password made from letters, numbers and symbols.

The directory has been deleted and I’m up and running again, a little wiser.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] emails not sendingThanks – I tested if from SendPress and it worked perfectly, with the Sender being my Gmail account.
FYI – I’m running 3.5.1, and the plugin is compatible, despite the warning.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] emails not sendingIt’s not making any sense. I’ve had a gmail account for years which I mostly access via Thunderbird on a Linux OS. My host and WP installation is on a Linux server.
There’s nothing on my computer that’s blocking anything, and my ISP doesn’t block mail ports.
I tried a couple of other WP smtp plugins and none were able to connect to gmail, or any other server I tried, as I have access to 4 in total, the only successful one being my host.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] emails not sendingMy host opened 465 & 587 and I’m still have gmail issues. I can send from the host without any problem, but my they are on many block lists for doing exactly what I want to do; send mail to multiple recipients.

In reply to: WP 3.5 Media upload HTTP error.I only have the problem on my most recent installation. I have 3.5 installed on 4 other sites and media upload is working as it should.
Same host, same registrar same everything else. Go figure.
I have both WordPress and LimeSurvey installed in separate directories from my main site, i.e. mysite.com/wiki and mysite.com/survey.
I can’t get past the ‘Connection with database failed’ stage, despite having the mysql database location from the initial install.
Please point me in the right direction. LimeSurvey is working fine as a standalone, but I would like to connect it to the plugin.
