I was looking for the appearance>editor but i tried the Footer widget area idea and it worked. However i uninstalled again and reinstalled everything and noticed that the Appearance>editor is there, but since i was hacked someone else previously suggested i use the Better-WP plugin as security and when reinstalling this it made the Appearance>editor disappear. But the main thing is I know that the way to get what i need is to put it in the Footer widget.

I did this as well i think. When i reinstalled WordPress the only themes i had were the ones that came with WordPress (twenty twelve & thirteen). So i had to re-install Customizr. Do i need to un install it again? And if so do i have to re build the site again. I have been backing up this time but i haven’t got a clue how the backing up actually works and how to use a backed up site again.

I deleted the old site i built and updated wordpress before starting again. Is this what you mean by a clean install?

Ive deleted the site and will start again. It shouldnt take too long hopefully now I’ve done it once already. I will use your suggestions as well.

I cant seem to change anything. I think i’ll delete the site and start again. i had word fence as a protection against this kinda thing happening. It obviously didnt work. Can you recommend a good way of protecting myself against this happening again
