In reply to: [Simple Post Series with SEO!] Series List GlitchYes, I am using WP v3.7.1. Love this plugin, except for an inexplicable reason, two titles get bunched up on the BACK TO (arrow) line, where only one should go. This usually happens after the SPS shortcode has been used to gather four different titles. Strangely this bunching up doesn’t happen on all four titles, maybe one or two out of four or five gathered.
Would love to get this fixed. Any hope?
To me, “notification” denotes a link or teaser, not the whole schmoe…
Am I missing something? I read over a year ago about subscription “excerpts” and “Read more” links were on the table, but I see no evidence of that in my always latest JetPack and WP gold. I would add my voice to those who REALLY REALLY would appreciate this capability.
I do not want the entire “unformatted” text sent to subscribers. I want to “tease” them to come to the web site via a quick link. I use many formatting shortcodes which of course do not roll into the email, and I often edit, so not only do subscribers get an ugly version, they get an old version of the article…

In reply to: [Admin Tweaks] Redirect After Login Feature Not WorkingThanks for your quick response.
I tossed the plugin yesterday after about 4 months in use, and found something else that is only a redirect-login-registration plugin, which was the most important feature set I needed. From memory, besides the redirect fail, not all the profile page cleanup features in the Users & Profiles tab worked.
These were the two most important features to me as I am running a site with about 620 users right now, and most are not online savvy, or at least are accustomed to a certain set of login operations, and are easily confused.
Actually, that’s about it. I think that when I used the words “a lot” I was conflating the Admin Tweak failures with another free plugin called Profile Builder…my apologies.
I checked for conflicts between the two, but I was running AT alone long before I added PB…
Also, I’ve observed that when the Admin Tweaks backend is loading, there is an old version that pops in first, then the most recent version that I use in layered over it. So my question is this, does not this add to the overhead? Is a completely rewritten version in the works?

In reply to: [Simplr Registration Form Plus+] Latest Update 2.2.4 Killed FormTo think I paid twice for this software, and now that Mike has made it free, it breaks, and he goes radio silence on us. However, there is an anomaly to this sequence of events. I noticed that the “Last Updated” date did not change from 6-12-2013 with the latest version. Could v2.2.4 possibly be a hack attack?
I don’t know, and I’m certainly not accusing anyone of anything. Just laying out a few facts as I know them. However, I have dumped Simplr Registration Form Plus+ software for now until there is a more solid resolution.
Thanks Jay for the link (I downloaded), but since I had already switched plugins, I will stay put…Mike is obviously off to greener pastures.

In reply to: [Simplr Registration Form Plus+] Latest Update 2.2.4 Killed FormAnother thing, this particular plugin registration key, (as displayed in my online account) will not stick in the requisite admin field after entering and saving.

In reply to: [Officers Directory] Smart Functionality! Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Thanks for the quick reply. Great theme nevertheless!
Sir –
Is there a way to pause the slider in Triton Lite? Say with a mouseover, or button? I’m not a PHP coder, but have found the pause code in the functions page, but I can’t translate the code into something I can handle. Any advice?

In reply to: [Officers Directory] Smart Functionality!Wow, DBAR, you stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park. Congratulations! Are you offering it to the public through WordPress?

In reply to: [Officers Directory] Smart Functionality!Yeah, I’m using Simple Contact Slider by Milan Petrovic on CodeCanyon. I forget what I paid, six dollars maybe. Well worth it. It won’t sent to multiple people, but will allow the user to pick one of nearly forty possible recipients.
So, in my case, my result is a close mimic of the original. I am happy. Client is happy.

In reply to: [Officers Directory] Smart Functionality!Hi DBAR, I’ve moved on, getting someone else to add the multiple recipient function I needed to a slide out contact form. What I liked about what Douglas created was its more intensive back end.
When it broke for me, the contact form just wasn’t pulling the officers info the backend contained for the recipient list. Therefore, the form wasn’t being sent anywhere.
I don’t know exactly where the system broke down, or what plugin conflict caused it to break. As I wrote above, the plugin was over two years in arrears when I plugged it into WP v3.42 where it actually worked to my surprise for a month or so.
Of course, I’ve upgraded to WPv3.5.1 now. But would certainly be interested in testing if you were able to pull all the working parts of the plugin back together again.
Excellent post, philiplawlor. Indeed, I had never heard of the FOSS model, but suspected something like that existed. Now I have a name. For my purposes, I finally took the LOST PASSWORD and RESET off my login form, but among 1300 members, my clientele must eat their passwords for lunch because they seem to need a new one every time they log in…
