I may have discover a solution to this. I was faced with this issue and out of pure frustration, I finally deleted all of my plugins with the exception of the default ones included in the distribution package of WordPress, and found that I indeed had 1 that was not compatible with WordPress 2.5.1.

The WP-SpamFree Plugin did not like the changes in 2.5.1 for some reason. If you have this plugin installed, try deactivating it, or deleting it and recheck your results. There may also be another in the group of installed plugins causing the issue.

I am the author of the Gaboinked! Chipin Sidebar Widget for WordPress and can assure you that it is compatible with WordPress 2.5.1.

I just upgraded to 2.5.1 from a fresh 2.5 install and now my wp-admin shows blank page either by accessing it directly or by trying to login from the front-end. Any ideas?

I can not do anything with my blog at this point.

I just upgraded to 2.5.1 and my site appears and displays okay, but when I try to access the wp-admin, it shows a blank page. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas on how to fix this?

I installed a clean version of 2.1 and can’t create post categories from either the post itself, or from the Manage Categories options. It does not give me any error messages or notices.

I am affraid that I may have jumped into the new version a bit too soon.

Is there an explanation for this in the case I have configured something ncorrectly?
