It might be better for now actually – I’ll see how the next post goes.
The Jetpack debug tool told me to try reconnecting, so I disconnected and reconnected.
I immediately got one comment link notification, but nothing else. My comments and likes are way down from normal, and I haven’t had any email notifications about posts.Hello, I didn’t receive an email or notification about my most recent post.
I also noticed these settings in site health:
Sync Queue Size: 104
Sync Queue Lag: 1 day, 9 hours, 43 minutes, 31 secondsI got some comments overnight, but no notifications.
I just got an email notification about my post from 12 hours ago, as well as a notification. So I guess that worked?
I’ve updated my theme, and that’s sorted out (ii). Jetpack is set to auto update, so it got ahead of the theme update.
It still feels that there are some issues around (i) though. I noticed when I just published a post that I didn’t get my usual email or app notification.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Jetpack like buttonThanks for checking. I think the best workaround in my case is to leave Lazy Loading Off and install another plugin to delay videos.
I tried that, and it seems to work fine.
Jetpack is a pain – I had to figure out how to add their comment form nonce to the ESI exclusion list as well.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Error using comment formYou should wait for the original poster to confirm before you close this, but I’ve had some comments come through that couldn’t before. Thanks for fixing it, team!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Error using comment formThank you, your comment came through once.
Obviously something needs fixing there, as that’s way too much hassle to put commenters through.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Error using comment formI hope it’s OK to add to the same thread, as I found this thread after Googling with the same issues on my blog.
This is a report from a regular commenter:
“Guess what? It happened again today. I got the error on Chrome and then tried on Edge. No luck. The specific error (in both cases) says “Error: Please fill the required fields.” There is also a ‘Back’ button. Click once, does nothing. Click twice, brings you back to the comment section but your comment is gone.”
It’s weird as he’s able to respond to a post from a couple of weeks ago, as he did today:
https://albumreviews.blog/2022/08/11/music-quiz-got-song-titles-quiz/But he’s not able to respond to this new post:
https://albumreviews.blog/2022/08/25/weekly-music-quiz-famous-lead-singers-by-band/I tried turning off the WordPress setting: “Comment author must fill out name and email” and that works, but then all the comments directly from the website (as opposed to the WordPress reader) come through saying “Someone” rather than the actual name.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Like Button JSThanks Bruce for your help.
I had to go back to Rocket support to figure it out eventually.
For future reference, if anyone has the same issue it was caused by the “Enable for iframes and videos” option on the Media tab in WP-Rocket.
They fixed it by excluding the widgets.wp.com iframes.

In reply to: Image Sizing – Transition from www.remarpro.com to WordPress.comHi Ricky,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I had a look via FTP and the thumbnail seems to already exist:

It just seems like a matter of forcing WordPress to display it instead of a bigger image.
