But if you update the plugin, remember to redo those modifications.
Maybe a more skilled person could code a plugin for that if the stars align right or smth ??

all I desperately want is the download to be treated like a normal wordpress post, so I can have specific download pages for my downloads (you know, a page with the download details, some ads, etc).

The actual functionality permits to attach downloads to posts, but this isn’t exactly what I want.
